We doNt need bricks to cast a plinth beam.........instead of using bricks For getting a levelled surface, level the surface by using sand and then lay a polythene above the surface so that concrete doesn't come in contact with the sand or ground.... After that complete the shuttering works to start casting of concrete........ Cost of brick work will be saved..

Purpose of plinth beam is not to distribute the loan from column, Purpose of plinth beam is to prevent any cracks from foundation towards wall in case of settlement in any footing i.e., uneven settlement. No you are wrong do not use polythene ever on plinth beam as it will always create air and wiil always lead to water seeping.

प्लिंथ बीम के नीचे कितनी गहराई तक ईंट चुनाई करनी चाहिए। यदि फाउंडेशन कॉलम 06 फुट गहराई पर है।
We did above 6 ft height brickwork in our building before plinth in year 2000. It incurred some extra cost but, I think this process is good.
1 feet below Ground level is sufficient. This will preserve backfilled soil whithin ground beams.
What should be cement and sand ratio on brickwork below plinth beem. Pls suggest.
