Never paid a lot of attention to a Minneapolis Moline, I didn't realize how actually good-looking those tractors are, I know they're a extremely well-built tractor and they'll pull like there's no tomorrow

I'm hoping to see this G1000 back in the field this year or hopefully in the coming few years. I'd like to get more footage of it.

Dad had a G1000 Wheatland when I was in High School. I loved that tractor. Very low RPM's and lots of lugging power...

The one tractor my dad always wanted but didn’t get one bought. They are a beast! Yours is very nice.

Beautiful! My dad started his farming in very early 70s with a Vista. He later added a cab.
By the way, I think the tractors still idling.

I remember seeing one of these in an indoor showroom at a MM dealer in the early 60's, it was a really impressive tractor i thought.

I always admired the G1000. It can easily pull a 6 bottom plough.

How many HP is a 1000? I remember operating one as a kid. Seemed like that hood was a mile long sitting in the seat. Nice tractor to operate!

    Trying to remember,
Didn't they have a smaller chrome badge on the front side panel under "G1000",
    "Vista"?

Mine has one. Maybe early ones did not get it? It appears to be a Vista though.

@@debi5292 Raised Console housing the hydraulic control levers on the right was exclusive to Vista. Very progressive awakening for the developing ergonomic features in all farm machinery.

The first Vistas were called 'Black Letter Specials." We had one of the first ones built. It had problems with the open center hydraulics and the rear end. MM stood behind it and made updates before the chrome insignia appeared. They were very good in the warranty department. While it was in the shop I operated a 1206 Farmall. Sad to say, but the 1206 was nowhere near the G 1000. I was glad to get it back.

Nice tractors until you put a cab on it. The noise out of the rear end is horrible. After changing the fluid to Wynn's it was much quieter but still made a lot of noise.

I also have a 3100 john deere plow works good

Why couldn't you move the plow over a little and drive on the top instead of in the furrow

    • @JohnSmith-pl2bk
      @JohnSmith-pl2bk 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You'd leave a gap...
and the wheels in the furrow helps guide the operator in keeping the furrows straight..
