- Trev is joined by TH-camr Joss for some windy Snowdonia wild camping on Moel Siabod, and a mountain ridge scramble.
A last attempt to take advantage of the dwindling summer temperatures, and visit one more mountain, this week Moel Siabod from Capel Curig, for a windy ridge scramble, views of Snowdon and Tryfan, and mountainside wild camp.

Interesting to watch this straight after watching Joss's version of the same hike. Such a shame about that wind because the scenery around there was superb and nice to know that Joss had 2 friends in the Mountain Rescue if you needed help on the scramble…..That view from the summit at 10.50 with the sun burning the mist away was stunning and nice to hear the Summit or Nothing again! Tea looked canny mind, very exotic but shame you could not enjoy the night outdoors. Great watch, cheers Alan

This was great training for the Himalayas, Trev! Beautiful mountain top views but no escaping the Dartmoor bogs, it seems. Plus the blustery wind! That was a good and fun watch! I knew Joss used to be a fancy chef in London so you lucky to have tried and tested his cooking!! ATB Mari

It’s some beautiful scenery there. A bit breezy there, eh? It must cool you off as you hike... my sons would do this, long hikes, scrambling up the mountains and camp💜 must be exhilarating! Happy trails

Awesome hike and awesome video. That chicken curry looked fantastic. Must check out the camping rice - looks interesting. The Cloud Up 2 certainly stood it's ground. As for forgetting things, we've all been there if we're honest. Have a look at Gear Grams via Google. You can create a master list of all your gear and then create a sub-list of items you want to take on a particular hike. Then you can print off the sub-list and tick the terms off as you pack them. I find it really helpful.

I was only going to watch half of the video tonight and save the second half for the weekend. But I had to watch the whole thing in one sitting. Just to find out if Trev got blown off the mountain, tent and all.

Great adventure lads. We went up Moel Siabod in May from the Plas y Brenin centre near to Capel Curig but I still haven't edited my video yet. I've got behind with my video editing. It's very time consuming . It's a fantastic mountain to climb & we enjoyed it a lot even with the high winds we experienced there. Most of my sound was ruined unfortunately so some voiceovers will have to do.ATB mate.👍👍

You can dodge that boggy bit by skirting around the left of the lake before it, or by skirting and hugging the foot of the hill to the right. I made the same mistake first time and went in up to my knees. Thank god for gaiters.

Cracking video and good to see the other point of view, what do you use to track your walking would love to use the same feature. Cheers for sharing bud, atb.
The animated walking map is recorded on ReliveApp - it's ok for that side of it but doesn't seem to be as effective as a GPS like OS maps or Viewranger for either map checking or keeping track whilst out on the trail.
