Restauratie Model Wipmolen "De Zwaluw"

Na 10 jaar op het dak sierlijk te hebben gedraaid is deze Model/Tuin molen toe aan een stevige restauratie.
De eerste restauratie vond al plaats in 2009, toen kwam de molen met achterstallig onderhoud uit een tuin. Dit model is oorspronkelijk in Elst (UT) gemaakt. Deze molentjes uit Elst zijn bij meerdere mensen bekend.
Tijdens dit herstel heb ik van de gelegenheid gebruik gemaakt om wat aanpassingen te maken gericht op traditionele eigenschappen van Wipmolens in het algemeen.
Ook heeft de molen voor het eerst een naam gekregen "De Zwaluw" omdat deze naar dit herstel de 3e keer van locatie verhuist. Een soort "trekvogel" zou je kunnen zeggen.
De oorspronkelijke bouwdatum is onbekend, vandaar de datum van het eerste herstel "2009". Waarschijnlijk is dit model nu tussen de 15 á 20 jaar oud.

I am a volunteer miller and am hoping to purchase a tuinmolen like this.
I have found one that is basically in the same shape as this one was (also by the same builder), can you give me some tips on how your did your restoration?

Nice to hear from a colleague miller from the States, (Nice Stellingmolen Vermeer) and to hear you also like gardenwindmills.
Are you buying a second-hand in bad condition?
I have repaired the upperhouse corners with coated compressed plywood and made vertical lines in the wood with a handsaw.
I have rebuild the lower house also with compressed plywood and covered it with grinded straw and polyester coating.
Polyester will protect the lowerhouse for a really long time and the grinded straw will give it a authentic look.
These wipmolen models (build in Elst, Utrecht) are great quality but still needs paint over time. My restoration project survived almost ten years on a roof without maintenance.

Sorry for the very late response! The notification never came in.
I finally struck a deal with another seller to purchase a small octogonal ground sailer. Work on it should start whenever it gets here.
