I noticed the snake eyes they used is based on the swivel arm. It was slightly tweaked from the original straight arm.
Yep. My co-host pointed out to me that the difference in the bicep pockets is from the swivel arm version. Same with the waist.

Storm shadow is a bounty hunter.
The upper arms for all the v1 figures were remolded for swivel arm v1.5 with pockets/pads moved or removed. Waists were changed also, not just newly-stamped.
These are pretty easily discernable from their originals. If you take it apart, there are many other differences.

Welp buying one to open and mess with since the original is well out of my price range. I have the 1997 Stars and Stripes one but the grey bugs me.
I don't think anyone mentioned this yet, but yeah, the pockets on Snake-eye's biceps moved from the sides on the 1982 Straight-Arm, to the front on the 1983 Swivel-Arm version. The space where the pocket was originally looks to be the same, so I'm not sure why they changed it between figures. ;)

Two things please keep your OG joes elbows Bent just a little, I’ve noticed cracked elbows happen when the elbows are kept straight
And I love the shoulder pins are coloured to match the paint 👌

Thanks! These are all new tooling made using scans of the original figures.
The one redone from '97 and later used Roadblock's waist.
I like them actually look great yeah they are not the originals ... my thought is they are too expensive from reviews I've seen

You asked about the box. It reminded me of an old GI Joe VHS tape box.
I like that! I'd love to see a con exclusive set of characters from the movie in a VHS clamshell. Similar to what Mattel did with Mr. T.

@@NeedlessThings I had one back in the day (the episode I had was "Red Rockets Glare"). It was an oversized VHS box with Sunbow art on it. Still have it and the box too, but now both are stored in a bigger box with some older VHS tapes (so it has some friends 😄).
That cover art was fantastic. I don't know if it makes the cut, but I'd love to see it in 3D Joes' upcoming art book.
I got a mystery box from Pulse today and it happened to be these guys. I'm still sad Hasbro isn't using the white frame on the cards. Also, I'm confused why they included extra v3 accessories. They should have just gave us v2 Snake Eyes w/ Timber. Those extras are unnecessary.
An Alley Viper and a B.A.T. that I had ordered showed up at the house the other night. A few hours later I got a shipping notice and a delivery notice within minutes of each other. 😂
I am a bit baffled by some of the decisions on this one. Hopefully they'll course correct as the line goes on.

@@NeedlessThings My Alley and BAT order was strange too. I ordered em as soon as Pulse dropped em, and received the Alley Viper a week later. The order still showed unfulfilled. I thought I was gonna get a free AV. Yet, a few weeks later the BAT showed up on a different $0.00 order they created. Around there same time I scored another AV and BAT at Target.
I had the exact same experience with that 1/4(?) drop. I have yet to see any stores, but there are so many collectors and scalpers in Atlanta that I don't know if they haven't arrived or I'm just missing them.
@@NeedlessThings around here, between Tampa and Orlando, I've been seeing Gung Ho on pegs, so I know they've had the others. The pulse DC is located in Atlanta so is imagine they'd show up there already.
I think the Pulse distribution centers are just for Pulse. I think Target and Walmart get their stock from their own distribution centers.
But it is nice having that one here. My stuff usually arrives super fast.
How do they feel is the plastic soft and cheap feeling?
I'm pretty sure I covered it in the video, but the plastic is solid.

It's not completely that, though. If it were a blatant nostalgia grab it would be like the recent Real Ghostbusters and Transformers reissues. It's not that, but it should be and I don't know why they did this.
You must be younger cause you dont compare a straight arm version with a swival arm version and not recognize the original differences such as the different waist pieces and arms. Plus you destroyed the packaging. Irritating .
