Good things. McDaniel finally adjusted his game. Now longer drives but taking what defenses are giving. Tua better at off-script plays. More players participating versus stars in winning games. Good schedule. England /Jets 3-8. Browns 2-8. Green Bay / Forty-Niners a challenge but in NFC. Houston (6-4) Key game in conference.
Let’s be honest here… we’re ONE bad play away from Tua getting hurt and becoming the worst team in the league… AGAIN… those few weeks he was out we were unwatchable… I don’t think there is a team that had worse back up qbs than us.. it’s like the dudes are completely clueless to what’s going on on the field… for the love of god, next season let’s get a decent back up in there…
we lost to Buffalo on a 61-yard field goal..let that sink in Dolphins are figuring out. Hill and Wadlle are luxuries we have a solid offense if utilize the running game and TEs. Tua ain't playing scared anymore.
I thought it was interesting how we employed 3 tight ends on several plays-- obviously to compensate for missing Ingold-- and it resulted in two good catches by Julian Hill. KC does this same scheme alot. I don't know how effective it is, but I think getting Ingold back will make a big difference.
Omar, the Lions actually have a GM that can draft and identify talent unlike the Dolphins. As long Grier is the GM, they will never be a Super Bowl contender. Those are the facts.
Yup. When’s the last time we had an inside or middle backer that could effectively cover ? Tight ends have been stealing our lunch money for years. Even Baker, who was quite quick, struggled in this area
That had very similar numbers. Tua clearly looked superior, but Minshew had an okay day himself. Game was also pretty even until that last blown coverage TD the Raiders gave up. Not quite sure why you think what the commentator said was shocking lol.
Barry starting to lose credibility with his Herbert narrative. Tua is better or at par with Herbert. I can make the argument that Tua can run Chargers Offense but i cant see Herbert running this Dolphins Offense. Burrow is on a losing streek but he gets all the love and so he should cause he aint the problem. But if Tua loses with 27pts, "Oh Tua cant win a shoot out" 😅
I've worked for a Ross company, not the Dolphins. So much so I rubbed elbows with the man himself in the office. I have nothing directly negative to say about the man, but the people he surrounds himself with on a corporate level gave me a whole new insight to what is probably wrong on the Dolphins. I will bleed aqua and orange as long as I live, but I fear this team will not truly turn around until we have a change in ownership.
Come on guys is 4/6 you still have to go thru Green Bay and the 49ers. Dolphins can’t afford to loose any of those two games in order to make the play offs
Jeff wilson? What? He hasn't even played this year. He missed half of last year. Omar follows the chris grier model of team building. Keep the guys that are loyal to you and the franchise, even if it means they may not be the best option. Like robbie chosen. This giy is my buddy, he stays on the team. Like picking kickball when we were in 4th grade
Mr Ross, a good man, a successful man, a generous man, a man that wants to win. I truly believe in my previous comments. However, he must be the biggest fkn “MARK” around to keep Chris Grier. When I saw what the Rams did with finding all those 3rd and 5th round picks who are young and making an impact. That was the final nail for me regarding Grier. And let’s even talk about we could’ve took Verse over Chop Robinson.
and we would have made the same mistake we made with Skylar and Tyler Huntley. This is a quick release, timing based offense that is designed for a player with those strengths. Tua’s back up or even his successor need to have similar traits or else we need to completely blow it up.
Put this in stone, Trey Lance will be the backup/developmental QB in Miami next year. He’s a UFA, they’ll save the draft picks for other positions of need.
Absolutely disagree with Barry's take about "appreciating what you have". This is coming from the same guy that was pounding the table for the Dolphins to play Tua on the 5th year option! If Tua disappears towards the end of the season (like last year), Dolphins would absolutely be smart to consider drafting a QB in 2025. Who cares about the financial commitments, the Broncos moved on from Wilson and they seem to be much improved! You think we woulda learned all this from the last time the Dolphins wasted years and with the previous "just good enough" QB...
Barry - if they keep up this balanced, methodical attack style - you don’t need to grab a QB every few years until you hit a top tier. But most fans watched the last couple years and saw it was so pass heavy and reliant on Tua’s play, and the fact is that if they continued down that path of trying to out-gun those other top flight QBs, Tua just wasn’t keeping up consistently. If they keep doing what they’ve been doing lately and building the team around it, they can win against those top teams in the future.
Did you miss last season? Tua was in the MVP talks up until mid November. And if you have watched the NFL over the past decade, you would know that sometimes you NEED to be able to out-gun those other QBs. The dink and dunk stuff ain't always gonna cut it, eventually they will need to play a different style of offense. Wasn't enough to beat Buffalo in early November, severely doubt its going to be easier in colder weather later in the season.
I'm supposed to be appreciative of a QB that's 3-3 this year....5-7 in last 12 games? I'm supposed to be appreciative of an injury probne QB that doesn't play well versus good/play off caliber defenses? What are you guys going to say come December and January if he doesn't play well then? 😂
How do you guys not understand that Dolphins fans want a QB that can win us a playoff game ? No one saying a Josh Allen or Mahomes ! Daniel Jones won a playoff game and Tua chokes in big games not games vs the Raiders of course but show up in a big game Tua ! Hope you can guys can understand that !
No Omar, we fans would be satisfied if we had Herbert, Love, Hurts, Purdy...or anyone who we know is better than Tua because Tua ain't the dude. His ceiling has been hit and is simply too low.
Poyer needs to sit
Grier should have kept Van Ginkel and Elliot instead of letting them go and replacing them with David Long jr and Poyer!!
@ericrash8506 that's money they didn't need to spend on Hill and Waddle.
Congratulations on 39 years working for the Miami Herald.🥳🎉
I remember before the season Omar saying Achane was not very good at catching. 2 drops lol
It’s a product of a bad oline Tua is covering for by throwing quick passes
All this to be let down at end of the season
I don’t think we should be talking playoffs. Come on!
Thanks guys great show ❤
I think we are being naive assuming wins versus the Jets. That interior D line will give Miami trouble.
The jets??? Lol please bro stop
Let’s be honest here… we’re ONE bad play away from Tua getting hurt and becoming the worst team in the league… AGAIN… those few weeks he was out we were unwatchable… I don’t think there is a team that had worse back up qbs than us.. it’s like the dudes are completely clueless to what’s going on on the field… for the love of god, next season let’s get a decent back up in there…
Two of the most dynamic receivers in the League, both at or under 12- yards per catch
Noah has been really good in Washington.
Omar if you were Managing the Dolphins and you could replace Grier and McDaniel who would that be?
Ask the Cleveland browns how drafting a qb every year has worked for them…
They trailed against buffalo and scored
the pats had a lot of check down plays with Brady as well. not sayin the 2 qbs are remotely close in comparison.
Watching Buff and KC, there’s no comparison. Those teams are in another league ABOVE
Both have been beaten by other teams. No one is unbeatable in this league. There is plenty of football left to be played.
we lost to Buffalo on a 61-yard field goal..let that sink in Dolphins are figuring out. Hill and Wadlle are luxuries we have a solid offense if utilize the running game and TEs. Tua ain't playing scared anymore.
chiefs, bills are pro teams, dolphins the nfl europe version.
@@wiseguy417 Yeah and only ONE of those teams have 3 SB's. The other one "PRO TEAM" has been known to choke for decades. Just saying..
I thought it was interesting how we employed 3 tight ends on several plays-- obviously to compensate for missing Ingold-- and it resulted in two good catches by Julian Hill. KC does this same scheme alot. I don't know how effective it is, but I think getting Ingold back will make a big difference.
We chasin the Broncos hater Barry!!! Coming from 2-6 that's huge!!! How bout giving them a little bit of credit uh??? 😎
Ya gotta be drunk on kool aid to be talking playoffs!!
Achane and Jaylen Wright were both McDaniel picks not Grier! Grier is about 25% on hits in the draft. Not good enough
It’s probably 2 late for the playoffs but sign a good backup for next season and draft an OL beast in the first round (whoever might replace Grier)
It all falls on Chris Grier.
Omar, the Lions actually have a GM that can draft and identify talent unlike the Dolphins. As long Grier is the GM, they will never be a Super Bowl contender. Those are the facts.
He worded it so wrong Alan Ingold is not worth 1 yard game. He is worth 1 yard at play correct wording make a world of difference.
The problem with Dolphins defense is the Linebackers and Safeties.
1st 2-6 team to win S B ….but I am on acid😮
well, gimme some!
It's hilarious that you think this team can make a playoff run
Has Tua put the ball on the ground at least once in every game this season?
How could he, he missed four games?
Omar a lil slow. Every qb dink and dunk. Brady made a career out of it.Tua main and only problem is holding the ball to long
ALL THE TALK ABOUT HOW GREAT ALL THESE QB ARE BUT AFTER HOLMES, THEY HAVE 0 SUPER BOWL WINS.
One game at a time just play one game at a time
Fins continue to have issues covering the T.E. from opposing teams. This has been an issue for years 🤔
Yup. When’s the last time we had an inside or middle backer that could effectively cover ? Tight ends have been stealing our lunch money for years. Even Baker, who was quite quick, struggled in this area
omar - get on bluesky
Did anyone hear the commentator during the came say that Minshew and Tua are very similar? Or am I just crazy?
No that happened. Not sure if it was Feely or Tucker. But either way it was an asinine comment.
They had almost identical numbers barring the late game INT
That had very similar numbers. Tua clearly looked superior, but Minshew had an okay day himself. Game was also pretty even until that last blown coverage TD the Raiders gave up. Not quite sure why you think what the commentator said was shocking lol.
Omar being Omar. Never happy. Just a miserable guy.
Barry starting to lose credibility with his Herbert narrative. Tua is better or at par with Herbert. I can make the argument that Tua can run Chargers Offense but i cant see Herbert running this Dolphins Offense.

Cut Julian Hill.
Omar Alec Ingold is a big part of the running game your tripping
Every podcast needs two sides to everything
How about the DC not calling defensive schemes to defend number 89 TE for the Raiders
Refresh my memory who won that game
@ did you watch the game?
Come on guys is 4/6 you still have to go thru Green Bay and the 49ers. Dolphins can’t afford to loose any of those two games in order to make the play offs
You forgot at Houston and finale at Jets
NFL Play-off Rankings. On the Bubble. 8. Colts. 9. Dolphins. 10.Bengals. 11. Jets. 12. Pats. 13 Browns 14.Titans. 15. Raiders. 16. Jags
Dolphins fans think Mahomes caliber grow on trees.
Chris Grier needs to be fired period
They arent relevant they cant beat any good team 😂
Chiefs lost, we are still perfect.
Jeff wilson? What? He hasn't even played this year. He missed half of last year. Omar follows the chris grier model of team building. I agree but Verse was drafted before chop
@@itzlegion123 he let his anger cloud his judgment
@@itzlegion123 Cool, thanks for the correction.
The Dolphins had a chance to draft Joe Milton he has the size a rocket for an arm and legs to run with. Needs to be developed.
and we would have made the same mistake we made with Skylar and Tyler Huntley. This is a quick release, timing based offense that is designed for a player with those strengths. Tua’s back up or even his successor need to have similar traits or else we need to completely blow it up.
Milton is a better QB then those back ups
I guess i didn't remember us drafting minkah instead of lamar that is a fireable offense right there
Fitzpatrick was a good pic. He just didn’t stay around.
Put this in stone, Trey Lance will be the backup/developmental QB in Miami next year. He’s a UFA, they’ll save the draft picks for other positions of need.
He can’t play ahead of Cooper Rush.
They’re 4-6!
Calm down people!🙄

He said other teams are the ones that said to do that he did not say Miami should
Greer has not addressed the offensive line
There was not a draft pick high enough to get one

The Dolphins suck... Just wait till they play a good team lol. Season over... Get a real QB and watch things change!.
