Yes , Glenn , THANK YOU. Free speech rights STOP at the point of inciting a CLEAR AND PRESENT physical danger to others...short of this class of threat , speech is PROTECTED by Constitution. Why is this issue so difficult , complicated ? I was taught this in the 7th grade ...
I think he overdoes the 'fear' thing a little bit. We're talking about grown adults, people with plenty of life experience and savvy. And all of a sudden, as citizens, be so easily talked into these far-fetched govt. narratives about what grave danger they're in unless they, whatever, relinquish all their rights as citizens. That ain't fear, that's conformity. And 'fear' is the convenient cover story. Nobody wants to be thought of as docile sheeple, when they can conveniently claim 'fear' over some purported existential threat, which is a better, more dignified excuse. But not the real reason. If they're afraid of anything it's standing up for what's right, and going against the grain, and possibly making your friends and co-workers uncomfortable. Conformity is everything. It's fear of ostracism, not fear of physical danger.
Thanks to both of you...
