My absolute favourite ring of bells anywhere. The tenor has the most beautiful sustain and drone that those prewar Taylor bells delivered. I could go into the ringing room and lay down and listen to a whole peal of Bristol Max, I would be in the zone, transcended into a place of mindfulness and beauty. I love the sound of them when rung by top notch ringers, and no, sadly I'm not in that league and not can I ring Bristol Max. A lovely video. Actual 14bells, the addition two are a flat 6th and an extra treble one whole tone above the normal 12, this was you get a lighter 8 and also a lighter 10 using the 9th as the tenor. Still at 24cwt they are still very substantial lighter rings.
many congratulations for the publication of this excellent video of bells, magnificent architecture
Intresting to note same as Exeter the tenor has duck tape around the clapper bolts as seen for a brief shot
