Total agree. I was 17 years old when I saw their advertisment in Metal Maniacs magazine and I've been hooked ever. I'm 49 now. My dream concert would be LOA, Type-O Negative(RIP Pete) King's X, and Deadsy.
That’s rich coming from a Ricky Healy. The irony is palpable for a tool hiding behind that name. But you’re probably just as dirty and gross as he is. 🤢 Pushing 50+ yrs old and still riding the coattails 🤣🙄

Awesome, saw them once at 7 Willow St. in 97 I think, right before soul searching sun came out. I remember them playing Weeds for like the first time live. One of the best live shows I’ve ever been to.
Greetings from germany. I was a strong follower of this band when they appeared out of nowhere in around 1993 or 1994. A friend had their debut album on CD - gave it to me and (after recording) the tape was rotating a thousand times in my car tape player. Couldn't await to held "Ugly" in my hands and a few years later -but still in the 1990s- "Soul Searching Sun" hit the market. They are all great records. Now that we have 2023 and i haven't listened to this band for many, many years they suddenly came to my mind. While my tapes are still existing but hiding in the dark cold attic it is up to TH-cam to bring back the golden memories and unforgettable songs of this unbelievable good band. Saw them live on stage only one time as far as i remember: was on the giant dutch "Dynamo Open Air" in 1995. Where have all the years gone by.....
very underrated people don't realize they were doing river runs red when hair metal was king. they predated alot of the so called greats of grunge or nu metal. they were underground for a long time. In my humble opinion one the best bands that came out of that era...
River runs red came out in 93. That was a few years after hair metal. But their demos date back to late 80s towards the end of hair metal. LOA Is one of the most underrated bands out there
This show's great, anyone wants to know what setlist is before watching, here it is :) Heroin Dreams Other Side of the River My Mind is Dangerous Angry Tree Let's Pretend I think this is a really chilled set, kind of like the Lowlands festival acoustic set they did :) it ends with Heroin Dreams again which i think is the same one from beginning lol it is an awesome song so i was happy to watch it again :) Cheers @lukaszzee for the upload :D
I absolutely fell in love with Lowlands, and I just found this one in full (knowing only separate songs earlier). LOA fan since '93 and ongoing. All the best!
I don't think it's even been recorded, couldn't find any info about it. Audio only. Shame. But I do appreciate you replied to my answer to your post dated 5 months back. That means you follow. People like you do mean a lot. Cheers and respect!
I love them so much! Still have my old CD from RRR here...well, don't know if is Working today , but I dgaf! Heard it Million times....remembering the best times of my life and Life of Agony was an important part of it! Thanks and pure love
Huge fan in the 90s and 2000s. I dont think I ever saw them live (maybe??) but I'd be weary of seeing them live now. Only because I think it would ruin what I have loved for so long. There is no way they could do justice now to what they were. No disrespect to Mina and what she has chosen for herself but LOA with Keith and Sal and the rest just cannot be recreated anymore
Soul Searching Sun is such a beautiful album. I understand some people only wanted to hear super heavy LOA after RRR, but as far as im concerned this album has some of the deepest heaviest subject matter of any album I can recall, and they have my eternal respect for having the ball to release something like this.
I love all these first three albums all in their own kind of way. This band grew as musicians and personalities. While the music remained consistent in quality. My personal favourite album is Ugly. But I can really relate to another opinion on that. It's also a matter of your own perspective, age and musical preference.
Love all all their albums, as they are all unique and classic on their own. Soul Searching Sun and Broken Valley are my favorites. Their last album, a sequel to RRR, absolutely kills!
I´ve listened to "lets pretend" and "my mind is dangerous" and "angry tree" hundreds of times since they came out. I cannot recall any other band which influenced me more than those 4 guys
I I haven't listened to these guys for years now I know why I loved them back in the early 90s but this is like garage rock like foofighters are something I just can't take ut
Soul Searching Sun and Died Laughing was Keith at his vocal best. Not that it's bad these days, but from 1997-2000 he was very disciplined and experimental.
I've been a huge fan since RRR came out and turned all of my friends on to them. I was a little disappointed at first when I first listened to SSS. But I love the shit out of this whole album as it grew with me. The highs that Mina hits and the guitar solos are unexplainably deep on the studio album. I want the unplugged version of Weeds played at my funeral... LOA has unknowingly been there for me at my lowest points. I wish to see them some day, bucketlist. So glad they're still kicking ass! This video helped me get through another day of this self quarantined bullsh!t that I've gone through with COVID. The Sound Of Scars will help me get through 2021 as well.

They didn't come to the West Coast often. They played the Palladium and I saw the band hanging out behind near the venue. I said "I love you Keith Caputo!" Whitfield Crane had just stepped in to replace Caputo. Didn't mean to troll the guy.
Lovely to see Keith here and not his personality split as a 'woman'... He might shed his skin and rename himself MINA BUT he will always be Keith, rest is sick ideas and his voice as MINA is shit, I'm sure he takes estrogen and thus lose the deep in his voice there makes him so special, like on. KEITH: YOU CAN'T ESCAPE YOURSELF, and why would you??? ALL you are today is a total sum of your life, good and bad. You know, you're not the only there suffer Keith, but you can't run from yourself. The day you truly accept, that's the day you will be free and feel no need to look like a woman and have lost your voice. I hope it was worth it. I personally only listen to the old records, for it's them I identify with, not this strange MAGIC MINA with a strange voice. If you know how much I used to love this band and still do, the old b4 Mina... It came to me in a treatment facility for heroin addicts, so I could really identify, but also this VERY special voice. IT'S GONE with MINA. I hope it was worth it. The more famous people are the more nuts they get and move into a 'magical reality' where no one even put them straight, for we do not correct famous people or tell the truth. The richer, more famous you are, the faker becomes all around you, just 'co-signing bullshit', do Lipservice. Many of those so famous they can't walk the streets without a bodyguard, or do a nice shopping. They often disguise themselves just to get a feel of freedom, for it goes away with fame and money... And there are countless proofs, just listen to what they say themselves. And yet money is the biggest wish a Human have... Honest friends and some in the life there love us. I guess money could do some for me after I lost the rest of my family I have felt I need a change I can't afford, and in that way, money can be good. But nothing beats a real family or real friends, but they are extremely low these crazy days we live in. Love you KEITH
I'm sixty years old and this concert takes my breath away.

My older sister would take me to their shows in the mid 90's.. this October I get to take her to see them in Brooklyn nearly 25 years later

Best Album is 'River Runs Red"🤟💥
brings me back man, feel like it was in another lifetime.. much love to everyone!!
great recording of a horribly underrated band
na they were always second class, just a copycat band riding a trend
Mike Woz ,YOU WERE WRONG, YOU MUST HAVE BEEN THINKING OF THE BAND VOLBEAT THEY'RE THE ONES WHO WERE RIDING COATTAILS OF LIFE OF AGONY
as soon as i heard volbeat i fuckin thought of how they were ripping off keith
this - brother is the original!
Dude you nailed that. They are so underrated its ridiculous. I've seen them 10 times and going again in December.

Um, that's not true. Lol.
Not true, they released it in 1994, pretty much latecomers to that whole scene.
River runs red came out in 93. That was a few years after hair metal. But their demos date back to late 80s towards the end of hair metal.

@@tomasrodriguezvillegas6719 Ah yeah they are also one of the few from that era who are still around doing great music.
They wrote river in 92-93. They played since late 80s. Pantera opened for them 😆
Hands down the best loa performance. Man that voice
2024- awesome singer. Like the best I've heard for a while. And live and all.

river runs red changed my life in so many ways and I am 48.
i hope you guys know how much you have given of yourselves, thank you.
I played the same club as LOA in the early days and watched them make it bigger and bigger. I was in a hair band but always liked these guys.
