Do you have any advice on working your dog through sound sensitivity

Depending on what sounds they are sensitive to what I would do is record these sounds and play them while at home. Have treats In your hand to reward good behavior or the reaction u are wanting when the sound is played. (I hope that answers your question).
Also i would use every opportunity to train in the moment that they seem anxious or reactive to a sound. Ik it can be embarrassing when In public and your dog acts up a little but u have to use those moments as training opportunities. Or else they will never improve.
Dallas used to be very excited and distracted around other dogs. It was embarrassing when we ran into other service dogs in public bc she would get excited. I would want to just walk away as fast as I can but I had to slow down and pull out some treats to work through her excitement. Now when we see another dog she does amazing

@@dallastheservicedoodle7236 yes, I have thought about that before before recording it and then playing it back later sometimes it’s hard to do that in the moment because I don’t usually have a free hand between her and the treats but I think I’ll try the next time happens because it would be good to capture the sound in order to be able to work through it later when we’re at home later. And you’re exactly right it is embarrassing when it happened in public because people think since she’s fully trained she shouldn’t have that reaction but I’m like dogs are still dogs and they develop fears the way people do. It does sense though that I need to work through it in the moment if I expect her to improve.
