In the official Pokémon world, the 3 teams had a war because they disagreed on how they should interact with Pokémon. Valor believed in using them to fight; Mystic approached them in a scientific and coexistence way; Instinct believed in helping them. In the end, Instinct and Mystic teamed up and defeated Valor, creating a less intense and more friendly version of Pokémon Training.
