  • Playboi Carti is a huge figure within the hip hop world for his revolutionary sounds and boundary pushing tracks. Having heard his work on features it was time that I sat down and checked out his latest and most recognised project "Whole Lotta Red" This 24 track monster had so many sounds that I was not prepared for. Join me this week as I sit down to check out Playboi Carti.
My name is Jack and I love music, in particular Hip Hop, I decided to make this channel as a way to engage with other music lovers and because there doesn't seem to be a lot of reaction channels on TH-cam...My goal has always been to be open to all types of music regardless of my love of Hip Hop, on this channel you can expect a rich array of genres. If you're keen to join me on my music journey then please subscribe, if you ever want to give your thoughts on an album or song that I have reacted to, then please do. I want this channel to be a community and if you love music of any genre then welcome!!!

Hey, a great album that you should listen to is “Everything Goes Numb” by streetlight manifesto. It’s an early 2000’s ska punk album, but as of now it’s probably one of my favorite albums! If you don’t it’s fine, but hey I always love the opinions of others!

Ahead of it's time? I don't hear anything revolutionary personally, been listening to Tribe for years and a mumble rapper is hardly going to blow me away. Don't get the scene when this gets such high praise.

this formed a whole new subgenre how is it not revolutionary?! youre just hating on rage music

If you already dislike "mumble rap" then it makes sense that you won't understand why people think it is revolutionary.
Also if your a fan of tribe and old school hip hop then listen to the many current genre pushing lyrical artists like Earl Sweatshirt, Billy Woods, and many others, instead of hearing music you don't understand and just saying "this new shit does nothing for me."

@@ShiivaWilding maybe as someone who likes old school hip hop it wouldn't appeal to you. its much less focused on lyrics and just atmosphere and sound. his live shows have so much energy because of this. people can really just go crazy to his music and not care about diving into lyricism and stuff like that. maybe give one of his live shows a watch but tbh it might put you off even more with all the screaming and nonsensical noises he makes
