Could you say childbaring or menstruation / bleeding uteruses, respectively? Because a uterus might "function" and do one of, neither or both of these things. Function just sounds like it's operational and it seems odd to think of prepubescent, post-menopausal, amenorrhea experience or fertility struggling uteruses as “disfunctional?”
