Tommy's range is simply incredible, I am blown away every time I hear this. He did an amazing power metal cover and it's definitely one of my favourite covers of this song. First metal cover of Phantom I've heard (and first done, as far as I know) was a Nightwish cover and it's my other favourite cover of this majestic song. If you didn't hear it already, I definitely recommend checking out their End Of An Era performance with Tarja and Marko from 2005
I'm really enjoying your Tommy reactions...keep going, there's so much to be impressed by! Try "The Light" his original...but anything you pick will be epic!❤
I’m still sticking with my suggestion to Tommy’s “The light 20 year celebration” .. I really want to see you listen to that song for the first time 😁.. good reaction once again !!!👍
Omg the Christmas Calendar! We got so heckin spoiled! Can't wait to see what this year will bring! The man made me buy a (gulp) Christmas album! Majestica's A Christmas Carol...all original songs, based upon the classic story...and I play that s**t all year!
Tommy sang the male part once before, with Dream Ocean. He did good there, but I think we all feel he did even better on his own. There is just something that bothers me in that previous attempt, I believe it's the mixing of the voices. Maybe you as an audio engineer can figure it out what's the problem , if you listen to that version as well.
No, the original did not have electric guitar in it. It was strictly performed by the theaters orchestra. But - the year 2004 a movie adoption of the musical took place! They choose Gerard Butler for the lead role - an actor without any form of opera training. Odd choice, but the producers felt that Butler would bring some rocknroll to the phantom character. To further enhance that, an electric guitar was now included for the first time. Good choice!
Tommy, wear a mask?! The horror! (W the exception of his Grinch.costume) I have to tell you, young man, you have become one of my favorite reactors... I subbed up!
@harmonicchaos1337 You say informed things, eloquently...but ask if you don't know... thats what this whole interactive platform is about! Keep em coming! Here for your journey...and there's about 20 other bands I can suggest that I think you'll enjoy!
Yes, he is great. Heads up, think your camera/formatting has a dead pixel. I thought I had one, until I checked. Phew. Camera is busted most likely. Run it through again and test. 1:39 above your headphones, left ear, a few cm above the ear.
Great reaction again. I think You should take a listen to Nightwish covering the same (Phantom of the Opera) live last year with a very fantastic ending note by Floor Jansen. th-cam.com/video/TM23gaT4zkY/w-d-xo.html

Unique style certainly.
Dang as high as Sara Brightman.
He has a crazy range!
I think he hits his highest and lowest note in his version of White Christmas.
I saw that he has a whole catalog of Christmas songs, I have a plan for those songs!
@@harmonicchaos1337 He did 24 songs in 24 days last December.

I think she was just not that good of a singer...
@@pernillaeriksson8594 And I think Tommy not was mixing it, sounds like that. He is a very good sound enigeer.

Ah I though I remembered hearing this song with an electric guitar, I must have been thinking about the movie!
@@harmonicchaos1337 They released videos and an album from the movies soundtrack, you might have heard the movie version being played?

Unless it is your mouse pointer but you seem to use it during this reaction ?
;)
Yeah, my camera has a dead pixel, I am working on saving to get a new one.
