SO. GOOD. I have a mother 32 under the tree, the keystep has now become a default purchase on boxing day to expand this and a dfam coming soon. I am so excited for music.
@doksan The MatrixBrute experience differs from the Moog one quite a bit. For the record, I happen to own a MatrixBrute as well as Mother 32 & DFAM. Arturia and Moog are both gorgeous sonic laboratories which sound great, each its own way. - The main difference is that on MB, you can save all the configurations (except those you have cable-patched, for sure) including sequencer and patch - something which is very limited on Mother 32 (you can just save the sequence) and completely impossible on DFAM. So you have to create or re-create every sound/patch again and again on the Moog beauties, which makes the whole experience fairly ephermeric. Moreover, both Moog-Mothers come with quite limited sets of synth basics like just 1 oscillator, no decay or just AR envelope, this kind of stuff - while Arturia provides you with all types of luxury like two to three VCOs, an overhaul of noise colours, suboscillators, free-to-draw LFOs, just to name a few. Let's go further, Arturia's sequencer is an Alleskönner-dream in opposition to the, honestly, primitive (but still hugely inspiring, not in spite of, but because of their apparent simplicity) sequencer of Mother 32, let alone DFAM. This all is great for a mono synth, but sometimes, it may be better to start with less than more. - As for me, I would not give up my MatrixBrute again DFAM/M32 and vice versa. Both systems are complementary one to another, rather than contrary. - Happy tweaking!
Eric Here thx for your interest. I do have at least two more new pieces, I just need to find a spare time to record them. Will post as soon as I have them taped.
very nice arpeggio , is synchronised with the bassline note, how do you do that ? i mean its an automatic sync with the bass note or is manual note sync? is that a mother 32 feature or is created by you? all the sequence is from both mothers 32 or are you sequencing the music using a daw ?
Hi I have set up my mother as per your cv patch but get no sound. What settings are you switches at on the keystep and what settings in the mother tempo sync etc. Appreciate your support
I prefer Rudess Jordan, Rick Wakeman, Keith Emerson, J. S. Bach organ. Yes you are right, I use Tangerine Dream for practise solo or leads. But is not my interest so much. I love Moog sounds best ! Have fun my friend.Thank you
Eric Here Actually no voltage controlled sweeping filter involved, it was manually adjusted by me. However, I have VCO Saw->Mix1, Noise->Mix2, then VC Mix->Ext. Audio. A slow LFO Tri modulates the Mix CV and VC Mix Ctrl. All of these results a slow flunctuation of timbre over the time.
mpingo91 thx for listening, below is how I patched the bass. VCO Saw ➙ Mix1, Noise ➙ Mix2, then VC Mix ➙ Ext. Audio. A slow LFO Tri modulates the Mix CV and VC Mix Ctrl. Pulse width and VCF mod range are also modulated by LFO more and less during the piece, resulting a subtle timbre flunctuation over the time.
@Rhizosphere Yes you are right I used to like it before now I like Rudess Jordan, R. Wakeman, J.S. Bach because I learn much more from Bach organ and Wakeman, Jordan Rudess is extreme fast ! Thanks for your comments ..have fun at the keyboard my friend !
@Rhizosphere You are right. I used to like those now I rehearse with sounds of Tangerine Dream some time because moves slow and easy and for me is a support background for my leads. I do not have sequencer or synth I have Roland FP8 E. piano , modular sounds Proteus and small Yamaha YC Organ. I enjoy more Jordan Rudess, Rick Wakeman, J. S. Bach. Thanks for the comment, have fun at the keyboards.
I listened to this whilst gazing out of the airplane window at sunset, and in my dark room contemplating space. This track is outstanding bro.
Brilliant composition. Could listen to this stuff all day!
Excellent and inspiring! Makes me consider getting a second Mother 32 and a Keystep.
Wonderfully clear sound and great chord pattern.
Woooow.. Currently I am hearing it in a dark room, this make me feel in the space, great performance
Hauntingly delightful! The reverb is magnificent!
Yeah, what does the reverb on this one?
Back for another listen. This is just some great Moogy goodness.
Really nice, love the arps and the timbre changes...
Another great ambient jam. Your stuff would be great for meditation 🧘♂️
I love it! 😍 Fantastic composition and synth tones! 😍
Cool stuff!I subscribed due to your description, thanx for the patch info!
This is fantastic!

Beautiful
another great one! keep em coming! thanks
Sounds great
Love this piece.
Incredible
Pure awesomeness :-)
this is excellent
Fvcking fabulous 🙌
Will you be doing some more Mother32 compositions? Hope so, really enjoy them. 👍🏻🤩
Eric Here thx for your interest. I do have at least two more new pieces, I just need to find a spare time to record them. Will post as soon as I have them taped.
Superb!!
Lovely work sir
t55a2 thank u
This is so good I need to buy another M32 now lol
I've just bought a Mother 32. I just need to learn how to play it! Arturia keystep is a difinite next puschase.
Feels like Mass Effect.
I've been trying to convince myself not to get a Mother-32, but this video tells me I need one.
Excellent ! 😉👈💥🥂
awesome piece!
Excellent.
This needs more views! So good. Have a sub!
It's not just two Moog Mother 32, there are other electronic components hidden on the right.
Sequen-Ciel Scientific correct, the mixer and audio interface on the right for the recording
Interesting piece, checking out your comps 🎼
Nice work!
this sounds amazing
What reverb are you using?
Amazing track btw!
Uad Plate reverb
x o x i n h awesome. Thanks man
Hello, I dont understand the way you route the 2 M32, you are a genius
Great work!
Nice stuff man!
Hay quá anh Xô. Em cực thích ạ
great chord progression... would you share with us??
Very good :)
Wow amazing 😎👊🏻✌🏻👌🏻
I always staying impressed by your perfomances
Dude, how did you do this connection?? between the mother32 and the keystep?
Reinaldo Duguet very simple, I have keystep’s pitch to m32’s vco 1v/oct and keystep’s gate to m32’s gate.
Amazing
The bass sound is epic! Can you share the patch setting on M32 please? Which reverb do you use btw?
Thanks for your interest. Tbh, it’s been for a while so I don’t recall exactly how the patch was. I used UAD AMS reverb in this one.

or is manual note sync? is that a mother 32 feature or is created by you? all the sequence is from both mothers 32 or are you sequencing the music using a daw ?
caballote caballo arpeggio is sequenced by the keyboard, i manually play the bassline live, but you can patch to sync too
thanks man. amazing work hehe. i have a minitaur and want the mother 32 but maybe in a future. very expensive. both at same time could be amazing
caballote caballo absolutely!
COOL

Can I change the 0V-10V range for pitch from the Keystep to moog-friendly 5V+-?
I think you can do that with an attenuator
Where is the Arturia keyboard patched to? I can't follow it on the screen - it goes out of the top of the picture.
Great
Are there any effects or processing on bass patch?
Davor Smonkar bass line is raw, no processing involved
listened repeated liked subscribed
Nice recording. How does the signal flow out of the Mothers? Your stuff typically has good EQ, for example.
Bran H I got signals through apollo twin to daw. Plugin reverbs was used.
Why do all the demos for the Mother 32 have more than one unit? I don't have 2 mother 32's, as much as I would like to.
@Rhizosphere it's been coined "Mother 64" and we are all waiting for a Mother 128 jam by now :-)
Awesome once again! Is there a patch that is sweeping the filter? How is that accomplished?
Eric Here Actually no voltage controlled sweeping filter involved, it was manually adjusted by me. However, I have VCO Saw->Mix1, Noise->Mix2, then VC Mix->Ext. Audio. A slow LFO Tri modulates the Mix CV and VC Mix Ctrl. All of these results a slow flunctuation of timbre over the time.
Took my breath away. Could you share the bass patch, please?
mpingo91 thx for listening, below is how I patched the bass.
Many thanks! :)
so do you need two mother 32's to get this type of tone?
If you just want the bass or the lead only then one m32, unless you want both.
What's the point of having 2 mother 32's?
Lance Colemab at least, more vco.
@@XoXinh what's a VCO? I'm jus trying to learn everything there is to know before I purchase one
Lance Colemab vco is voltage control oscillator which is a sound generator
@@XoXinh so you'll have more sounds?
Lance Colemab yes, more voice
Note to self. Must get a second mother 32!
you wont regret
sounds great but too much of the same...boring.
thx for your feedback!
suggestion : use you recording as intro then ad a main body of your sound with a solo so you can ad bridge and finale Coda* I like your sound !
@Rhizosphere Yes you are right I used to like it before now I like Rudess Jordan, R. Wakeman, J.S. Bach because I learn much more from Bach organ and Wakeman, Jordan Rudess is extreme fast !
