With the new sprocket setup your speedo will obviously change, as will the mileage count. Do you have anything in place to rectify that e,g Speedohealer I ask, as I just changed my 750 K4 track bike to a 520 chain with 16/45 setup and added a speedohealer to compensate for the difference
The milage on my speedo is over a 110k+.. lol and it's my second engine. I transplanted a k5 aniversy engine few years back with 1600 mile on it after blowing just the tranny, it was cheaper to buy a whole complete engine and tranny, then it was to fix, but you are correct. I dont have a healer just yet. Now that you bring it up, it would be a good idea to have since I need to track gas mileage on the trip meter since the one that comes with the bike sucks ass. That yellow gas light indicator has left me stranded 3 times already because it doesnt read correctly. Mileage tracking is the only way to be accurate, being able to see the true speed well that's just an added benefit..lol Thanks brother you just gave me my next video.
Hi James Just a note on the speedo rotor ( th-cam.com/video/bprw2TMOmQU/w-d-xo.html ) you use your specialty tool, that's a no no - you should use an allen key on the rotor bolt The rotor can be easily damaged the way you removed it, as you are actualy forcing the rotor to turn the rotor bolt, whereby the rotor bolt is what holds the rotor in place, just my opinion :)
29:39 When I press the plate as far as the rest of the plates, and then mushroom like you mention, the plates always end up moving in slightly just like at this moment. This means the master link will be the smallest width of your chain and it's going to wear out faster. Leave the master pressed plate just a little bit wider than the other plated links and it'll fall exactly as wide after mushroom!
Good tip bro..also You have to remember that master plate is going to move out no matter how far you press it. Where it will eventually stop sliding all depends on the widest point of the pin flange closer to the plate side. So just because you might press the plate a bit to far.. youre still good because it will move outwards, else there would no reason to mushroom the tips.. this is to prevent it from sliding off when it does move.
@@TheChemistDIY Yeah i regularly check and clean the front sprocket, somewhy after chain cleaning make the same noise as your did for like 150-200km, after that not big of a deal. I'm worried "maybe the sound coming from the gearboxsection" but your video saved me from lot of head ache :D. I think it will be good for this season. And the next spring/summer i'm plannig a much 'deeper' maintanence.
@@Speetqq , when you do get back in there bro. Make sure to check the scenter shaft spline and mating sprocket teeth. Without the chain attached to the front sprocket, wiggle the sprocket side to side/Frward and Backwards while on the center shaft, there should be no play (Tight Snug Fit). If there is then your sprocket is worn or the spline teeth are worn. Let hope its sprocket..lol.. because the latter is quite expensive to fix.

my bike do make similar voices, the sounds went away after service?
Check it out bro, 20 minutes of your time could save your life in the long run. Chain and sprocket issues are nothing to mess around with.
