  • In this video I review my everyday & travel bag for the last 2 years - The Cabin Zero Military 44L. I go through the outside, the inside, how much it packs and my different use cases for it. I think this is a very versatile bag and a bag that is a good balance between weight, size and price.

    I have older model without handle and water holder (which is only thing i miss, good they added it) and use it almost every day for shopping / trips / travelling. One of the best thing for travelling is that you do not have dozen of smal compartments but basically one big and one small in front, and in this way you can pack much more stuff / more easily. After 3 or 4 years nothing is broken (I just lost that chest strap, but replaced it), seems almost like new, I only have flags of coutries I wisited with it sewn on it (running out of space quickly). The bag is super versatile and although I have also 36L classic, I barely use any other bag at all. Best bag I ever had (even seen) worth every euro.

    Amazing and thorough review! Nice!
    I’m still undecided between the 44L or the classic pro 42L. I would probably use it as an auxiliary luggage on top of a work rolling tote. The pro has a handle that acts ass a pass through for the trolley handle. I wish this was also present on the military.

    With heavier load, isn't the hip strap being narrow uncomfortable? I recently bought a different backpack (actually a smaller one, some 25-28l), and was especially looking for a well padded hip strap, because I often use a hip strap a lot when trekking in mountains, on long trips with heavy loadout. I really love that aspect, so I'm scratching my head when I see the backpacks with a narrow one; is it really working well?

    Love your detailed review and examples of how the bag can be used. I got a suggestion for u for your black bag. U can use a permanent black marker to write over the white cabin zero logo; that's what I'll do as I don't like the stark looking words.

    This video was what persuaded me getting this bag over a few other i was also considering. I love the bag, it's not overbuilt and heavy like a lot of other bags and i really like the looks and how it carries.
    I got a black one and also didn't care for the white logo. But that was easily taken care of with a black POSCA marker. But i do have three minor gripes, that are harder to fix myself than the logo color;
    - First and biggest gripe is the pitch black interior. A brighter one would make life so much easier when trying to finding stuff in that huge main compartment.
    - Second i'd really want to be able to tuck away the hip-belt when not in use, which for me is most of the time.
    - Third i'd like a couple internal o-rings/clips to secure keys or hang a small organizational pouch. This I'm gonna have installed. Thinking one in the inner mesh pocket for keys, one in the big sideways outer pocket for a mini pouch and perhaps one in the main compartment.
    But those are no major gripes, overall it is a fantastic bag and at a great price too. Thank you for doing this video which really helped me making an informed decision!

    • @w2best
      @w2best  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I'm very glad to read this comment. It's really the reason i wanted to make this video. I didn't think there was any actual good video on it. I agree on your points. Especially the hip belt and the interior. I was looking for my black headphones for three days this week and today I realized they WERE in the main compartment but i didn't see them. Thanks again for the comment! :) I will forward the feedback to the cabin zero team as well.

    I just got my stuff from Cabin Zero... One thing I noticed after checking the stuff and it really looks good and well thought...
    Was getting out of my apartment to hear this ringing noise following me to return to my place to check up on it. I have no idea why no one never pointed this out - these big YKK zipper things are so clingy clingy clingy... Like does it not bother people having a cow bell going along with them all the time?
    Beside that, everything looks good - I just wonder what I can do with the clingy noise. Maybe some shrink sleeve will do it on them so the metal is less to get in contact with other metal, or cut the YKK Zippers and replace them with strips or something else that does not make so much noise.
