Well... the video is filmed in "the flying saucer" of Buzludzha built by the Bulgarian communist party during USSR's existence, so your emotion is quite on the spot.
The only song in Olympic Stadium Berlin I was dancing to like crazy that night with Algiers and Depeche Mode :-) Awesome track. Best support act ever for DM.

Algiers is a part of Northern Africa that was Colonized and chastised deeply by France, when the world just ignored it. That's why they'll have references to people like Sartre who spoke out against it a lot. I think the name speaks from the social divide of how society tends to look the other way if it doesn't effect the rich or white.
