Rick! You have done a great job of showing the humanity, and cultural beauty of every location. If only more people could see the world the way you do.

I visited Tangier earlier this year. It was such an incredible trip from Algeciras to Tangier via the ferry. The views are AMAZING. Once in Tangier people were so nice. Its such an exotic country. I encourage anyone to do this trip.

Rick, Oh my goodness it is such a good idea to post these snippets! I now want to visit Tangier and see the rest of the story. You make the world's culture come alive!
no direct ferry from Gibraltar unless something runs in the summer season. The big ferries cross from Algeciras to Port Tanger-Med 30 km east of the city. You have to travel to Tarifa to catch the hover ferry into Tanger City port. It takes about 45 minutes to do the crossing and this ferry is cancelled when there are high winds.

I took a tour of Tangier in 1979. I love it because it was so exotic. After a few days I got a real bad case of diarrhea. I think it was caused by some couscous that I ate. I would love to go back. This time I will take plenty of Imodium.

I see this was made in 2010. Many big changes in Tangier road systems since then and there is a project to 'join up' Tangier and Malabata bays. The view will be amazing as cruise liners come into port. If anyone is up, that is. They tend to come in before dawn. The medina is just the same. Oh, and the clubs and bars along the corniche have all been demolished for a vision of a 'clean' Tangier which is family friendly. That area will also look on to a marina. The fishing port is being shunted sideways. They're supposed to be trying to keep the walls of the Kasbah but they look very precarious.

Lol Tanger looked Hella different back then, no nice cars, old buildings, no gold-diggers, no men driving around in Lamborghinis hoping to get married, a lot of headscarves (don't see that a lot anymore), 2020 it's a different place but still love it tho.
morocco and Tunisia are beautiful countries. What amaze me most how many rituals and habits are common with India. Like eating with hands. even people look like as from north India
+daydreamerindian eating with hands is acctually common in most parts of the world. But I wouldn't say they look like indians. They have a bit lighter skin and more 'mediteranean" features
It's compleatly different ! Morrocan and tunisian are meditéranéean , have nothing to do with india , but there are verry colorfull countries in the market houses architecture ... this is why you said that i thing speacialy morocco who is verry spécial
I visited Tangier last summer and got tired of people asking where we're from + trying to do us something to get money. Eventually we refused to say anything at all, but that obviously annoyed few of them. I'd say Tangier is not exactly dangerous place, but I'd suggest being aware of your surroundings.
i found the same juhar, beautiful country, great scenery but you couldent sit down for a second without someone bugging you for money or trying to sell you drugs or tat or trying to take you on some sort of tour that will end up at their cousins magic carpet shop.
I went to Tangier around 2004...and I didn't feel like it was "dangerous" at all. It definitely looks like it has changed though by looking at your video. More modern looking. We were the only American tourists there at the time, in the middle of the summer in July but now I see everyone is going now. It was like that in Spain too, like not that many tourists, and now I hear there's people everywhere.. And long lines into the attractions wow. I'm going back for the second time, next spring. By the way... Is there soap, water, and tissue in the bathrooms? Do the bathrooms even work, of you're able to find one? That's how it awash when we went around 2003-2004. Yess!!! I remember the fish market there!!
even in this video tangier is even not modern like now Tangier become one of the most important city in Africa because its well located they did great work the city look beautiful and from what I heard they ain't stop there

Dear Abbasi, I have also urged Sir Rick Steve to visit Our dearest home land Pakistan 🇵🇰 to explore our natural landmarks and historical heritage to show the world people. 🇵🇰 Pakistan Zinda Aabaad.
i\ve been there in May ... the old city (medina) was shocking ... and not in a good way. There was so much dirt on those small streets. People are nice, but I don't get how they don't clean their streets.
I honestly have to say I was somehwat disappointed by Tangier. It is a lovely place, and I loved the food etc. But from the moment we got off the ferry, we were almost constantly stalked and harrassed by locals! It was almost impossible to walk 100 meters without being begged for money. I was glad we onl stayed for one night. I dont think I will be back.
Rick! You have done a great job of showing the humanity, and cultural beauty of every location. If only more people could see the world the way you do.
Came here to see the Tangier in 2010s. Always my favorite morrocan city
It makes me sad, because I can't experience it for a long time because of COVID.
@Antoine Shelby Good point, I'm a native of Tangier and i cannot believe that how much it changed in the last decade.
Now it's look very different
The old town looks Awesome. I love those narrow alleys and cool shops.
As a local citizen of Tangier, Rick has done an excellent job presenting it, with excellent video quality. Congrats on the good work!
