The lyrics to the song were written in 1911 by Rev. W. A. Fletcher, an itinerant preacher, while he was travelling to the Indian Territories by train. Fletcher was feeling depressed because his wife was expecting their first-born child in a few weeks and he wouldn't be present for the occasion. He felt that his priorities were with his ministry in the Indian Territories and wrote the lyrics to reflect his frame of mind at the time. Sitting next to him on the train was J. R. Baxter, a gospel music promoter who was quite taken with the lyrics that Fletcher was writing and offered him $2.00 for them. Mr. Baxter subsequently had them put to music and the song has been quite popular in the gospel music arena ever since. - เพลง

My sister passed away back on Friday January 11, 2013. I got to the hospital to be with her on the Wednesday the 9th. When my wife and I walked into her room the first thing she wanted was for us to pray for her. During her last few days here on Earth she wanted to sing songs. She loved this song and she requested this song several times in her hospital room. She loved to play the guitar and sing. RIP Kathy Sue Oliver Hudson 3/6/1962-1/11/2013. She is with my daddy in Heaven today singing.

I 'm tremendously blessed by Jimmy 'songs. I developed a passion for his songs during my childhood when my parents would always play his songs from those cassette diskette ,It was a long time ago, so gradually the phase of these disks kind of expired as technology advanced.But since I loved to listern to his music, I always wondered if ever I could get back all his songs ,including 'He Chose Me' ,Now God made a way I now have access to all of these songs at this platform. My heart is at peace and am happy I can listern to all these lovely inspirational songs.

I remember that dark time when jimmy was berated on public television, he was ridiculed and made fun of, but I say to those people let him who is without sin cast the first stone. Jesus came to save the sick in need of His healing and His mercy. Jimmy Lee Swaggart is one of the best examples we could ever ask for to teach us how to repent and come back to the Lord and just what Jesus is willing to do with any repentant sinner who truly calls upon the name of the Lord, jimmy swaggart was a devout Christian and one of Gods most faithful servants. We were truly blessed to have him for the time that we did. Thank you brother swaggart and most of all thank you precious Jesus

My daddy taught never to say anything bad about a preacher. I am 65. Today it's hard not to say bad things about some preachers. The lawless one has crept into many churches that teach grace will get u to heaven. I am so blessed to have a daddy that taught me many things. No alters in many churches in Oklahoma. I love Bro. Swaggert and the SBN Program. Why? For many years I have been ill. praying and cry because I was afraid to leave my family. also I wanted my healing. But one day brother Swaggert said faith is believing it already happened. See you can pray for something till your blue in the face. BUT when you believe it's already done things begin to happen. let me tell at first I felt a lot of pain. my legs started turning blue. and it hurt a lot. then my kidneys went down I lasted 34 days in the hospital with a very slim chance of come out. But there in the hospital I spoke to the master! I SAID God of abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob. have mercy on me. Give me a chance Lord to Serve you the way you deserve to be served. I know you exist , I know you hear me! this was about 8.00pm at 8.45pm the sides of my abs burst open and fluid began to spill out and all of the fluid that my kidneys were not releasing came out. and was able to come home after 34 days .So I began to pray for a change in my legs but it was not happening I had many preachers tell me maybe this was God's will but then I heard Bro. Swaggert say faith is believing its already done. let me tell you Jesus loves us !
