Still remember the older Version of HoI where you could add a Pioneer Unit to your Division to up the Infrastructure Supply ran through. Added some militia and a Infantry Division to it for Supression and buld "Improvised Roads" through the Map with them. That saved a lot back then as less Guerilla Shit went off due to supression (Pios als had that) while the Div prevented them to be able to get on the Tile you upgraded to make Supply flow well. Still remember when Buddy playin Germany and me Japan had the Moment we realized the whole Wehrmacht marches on Bentoboxes and the "Asian" had become synonymous with "Opressive Forces" aka "Supression Forces" because after China and India I had the Manpower to spew out that Forces in bulk. end of 44 I had over 10 Million of thoose in Men under Arms as "Peacekeepers" - and they did not have any Supply Needs themselfs. I still have this Picture in my Head of 10 million Asiansd building a Manpowerd Supply Line where Supplys het handed over from Man to Man to Man till they reach Central Africa.
You're telling me that stacking an entire army on one no infrastructure mountain province in Mongolia isn't going to let me win!?!? this game is so unrealistic!
Airdrop supplies are so freaking useful, I love being able to play as Japan and not having to worry as much about supplies when pushing into China at some parts.
Thank you so much I can’t wait to try this knowledge out. I’ve always struggled getting my head around how supply works and how to solve supply problems. This made it much easier to understand and I learned a lot I didn’t know at all.
I'm waiting for the devs to go "you know what, here" and makes it so supply flows from the province you built your *factories*. Fuel of course will flow from the province the resource comes from (including oil refineries). Then you have to play the balancing act of building them close to the front lines or building them away from enemy planes, land units, or convoy destroyers. *That* would be the level of detail that would be the filter for many players.
@@pelvismen5510 Yes.... that was the joke. That was what I was complaining about with the supply mechanics making the game more and more complicated. I'm saying supply from the factories would be the next step of that.
The idea of having supply production only from the capital need to be changed by Paradox. Make it more strategic and realistic where it´s produced in military factories where every MF may prioritze how much production will go to supplies, and where it arrives from those areas.
Thank you so much, man. I've had trouble trying to figure out the supply in Hoi4.This has made me understand so much more than I did before. Thank you.
TIL you need to build out all of the infrastructure along a rail route. This whole time I thought it was just the frontline region that needed the infrastructure.
When I first began playing? I worried about men and tanks. Now? Build Trucks. Build more Trucks. Then build the repair and construction that will follow them. I always take the time to follow my forces with rails, ports and infrastructure construction. Especially in places like Russia, China ect.
i've only got about 300 - 350 hours of experience in hoi4 and been trying to get better in the game. I have lost most of my matches if there are any tip that would be great.
is there a reason why all my supplies that go to königsberg are coming form the most western part of france all over the englisch channel and to the russian front?
I need help, ive followed all these steps and still im running out of supply and suffering attrition. All my trains are level 5, my hubs are fully supplied, i havent put too many troops on the front (if i remove any more i get attacked and lose) everything you say suggests i should be fully supplied and i am not and i cannot figure out why. This game sucks so much for not telling you what the problem is...
Working on some tutorial vids until mid summer due to less time and wanting to get those done. Ill be Bringing it back with a lore vid for hoi4 before moving on!
Does building infrastructure from your capital to the supplied province still pass on the positive effects if the supply route includes a dock/oversea route?
I have a level 10 Naval base thats out of supplies and this is the comment in Red "No Convoys Have access/Supply Fulfillment Halted" and I have over 10,000 Convoys not being used. How do I fix this?
I was fighting in the Philippines and I am attacked because there is no way to get supplies and now I lost part of what I earned because of that and not even with air missions could I notice an impact (I always put supply plans or every attacking division), and i suck in naval combat
Man, I watched all your videos on HOI4 and I still suck. I am an actual god at every other paradox game but this one I just don't get. Feels like no matter what I do I just can't break through enemy lines, every war devolves into a WW1 stalemate and I don't get anywhere. :((
HOI4 is one of those games you need knowledge and lots of experience. Just keep playing and dont get discouraged. Pause your game more often and look at what you need to prioritize, fix, and change.
Playing as big countries like Germany, UK, Soviet, etc is the best way to get better too. A lot of newer players play small countries a lot which is way harder.
@@Hammurabae Man! Thanks for the encouragment! I didn't expect an answer to me just whining lmao. I guess I just don't really understand how to use combined arms. Should be from ports and farms ol the coyntryside
