European fans complain all day about these two fights but Kov was outclassed. He had some moments, but Ward figured him out in the second half of both fights.
А ты бы жаловался, если бы в первом бою, после того, когда Ковалёв отправил в нокдаун Уорда (Ковалёв не был в нокдауне во втором бою), Ковалёв подбежал бы к Уорду, начал бить его ниже пояса, а судья остановил бы бой? Это же безумие считать, что тут нет причин для жалоб, когда судья останавливает бой после двух подряд ударов ниже пояса (на повторах всё видно отчётливо).
As seen in the first fight, Kovalev is superior in the medium-long distance... in a clean fight outside of the USA, Ward is not would beat Kovalev..

Un robo descarado. La rusofobia en el deporte es irritante. Esto lo debieran tenerlo en cuenta los boxeadores. Como sea, a mi parecer Kovalev o no es deportista disciplinado o no es muy inteligente. A muchos les extrañará lo que diré, pero es cierto. Aunque el boxeo se ve como un deporte brutal, se necesita mucha inteligencia. No se trata de ir a dar puñetazos como loco en el ring, sino hacer lo justo y necesario. Las combinaciones y la distancia conveniente según el rival, nada de apuro, mucha calma y concentración, etc. Aquí vi un Kovalev tirando golpes al aire y dejando flancos por todos lados. Dejó que la pelea fuera un constante abrazo y agarrones, un enredo que le dio muchas ventajes a uno de los peores boxeadores. Qué decir del árbitro. ¡Un descarado!

I'm actually a big Ward fan when he fought the best in the super six world boxing classic, but if you watch the end of 8th Ward actually aims and punches Kovalev privates deliberately. What is the referee doing. It's like the referee was looking for any reason to hand victory to Ward. Not to say Ward would not have won but boxing rules are the rules. Look at Usyk vs Dubois fight. If the the referee did not intervene Dubious would have been HW world champ ? As for Kovalev he was far from his prime and should have hanged up his gloves prior to the Andre fights but saying that Kovalev definitely was robbed of the 1st fight. He won the 1st easily.

People talking about low blows while ignoring the straight right hands that landed upstairs that weakened his legs he was getting outboxed
I watched the fight back the other day. Before the ending sequence, Ward landed one low blow and many devastating body punches. Kova even complained about legal punches, thinking they were low blows. I’ve seen fighters take low shots and go on to fight well. He complained because the outstanding amount of legal body blows were effecting him. Ward had a game plan and executed well, but the ending ruined it and a early low shot gave kova fans a way out of reality of a body shot clinic shown. The truth is before the final shots landed Kova had been battered, eventually rocked on the chin, and the tides were turning drastically in Ward’s favor. Kova showed off his output and reached to bank some rounds, but he knew whats up. Ward out bullied the bully. Run with yall excuses.
