Sometimes life is hopeless because our very existence is completely 100% pointless this is simply a statement of fact without needing the misleading label of deppression being attached to us..
Forget about the depression label. I understand that you feel that way because I have felt that way, when my chronic pain and daily migraines made it extremely difficult to do anything let alone leave the house, and I couldn't help my husband, who was fighting stage 4 cancer. I definitely felt there was no point to my life and I believed others felt that way about me too. But the fact that you are living and breathing means that there is every point to your existence. It is self-fulfilling. If you think your life is pointless then it will fail probably to accomplish any positive purpose. What I came to find out, when I threw myself at the mercy of God, was that He valued my existence and that is why he kept my heart pumping and my lungs breathing. Even if you cannot do any work, even if you can't have a conversation with someone because your head hurts too badly, you were created for a reason. A loving God brought you into existence. The world may not seem like a place that was made by a loving God but it is only because love wants the beloved to choose for itself. This world has been wrecked by people, as we live for ourselves, and destroy each other when we forget where we came from. I found my hope when I realized that God had chosen not to hold my attitude and behavior against me. But instead He gave me another chance. And I took it. I still struggle daily with pain. And sometimes I don't see or talk to anybody for a few days in a row. But I know that I matter because I'm here. And you matter too.
