What I like from ROTK 1994 that it depicts the downfalls of Zhuge Ke and Xiahou Xuan in two different dedicated episodes.

Tư Mã Ý tuy là đối trọng với Khổng Mình nhưng ( đã phải nhận Yếm phụ nữ) có lẽ học từ Hàn Tín?

thats like the novel, maybe that is why some people like the 1994 version better, because it tries to stay close to the books, the 2010 might have better production and way better actors, but they had to take artistic freedom, and also they had to omit a lot of details, a lot of characters just don't appear.

nope i disagree with you all on fronts. This adaptation is superior and so far the most acclaimed. The sets are life-sized and barely any cgi! The acting itself is topnotch. Everyone acts like how characters back then would talk and behave. The newer ones, everyone to exude that very cocky attitudes in their acting, just didn't express that humble and sincerity. The outfits are well done as it simplistic and rugged and historical. The newer ones look very westernized with all that heavy armors that didn't reflect the period it trying to presents. The fighting itself is what i like most in the 1994 version since it straight to the point and not over complicated and nonsensical cgi like newer ones. Few bouts and the fight is over. I don't need it to be ongoing rounds after rounds where the main focus is about historical accuracy and not a set from kungfu drama. The older i get , the more i appreicate the 1994 version. The songs are phenomenon!

Production is clearly MUCH better in the 1994 version. It's almost like those old epics with thousands of extras on elaborated formations, huge sets and mind-blowing locations (Waterloo 1970, Napoleon 1927 come to mind). In the 2010 version you see the same hill recycled 20 times and costumes are nowhere near as good plus it's too gray and lacks the elaborated landscape/action shots that could only be made "on a different time" as you now might have rules preventing dudes from being trampled by horses or the old film directors of photography might have died a long time ago so you can't make something like it anymore. 2010 has a cooler CaoCao... but that's pretty much it.
