  • The Investiture of Charles McCluskey as a Papal Knight of the Order of St Gregory.
Today as the Archdiocese of Glasgow marked the Solemnity of St Kentigern, the city's patron and founder. One of Glasgow's sons Charles McCluskey was invested as a Knight of St Gregory in recognition of his 3 years service as Supreme Knight of the Knights of St Columba.
A lovely feast day was had by all as the Mass celebrated by Archbishop Philip Tartaglia in St Andrew's Cathedral was packed. It was lovely to see many other knights including some former Supreme Knights from around the UK being able to attend.

From a proud Knight of Columbus to my brother Knights of Saint Columba, well done! Congratulations, former Supreme Knight McCluskey!

Impressive. Someone in church in Purley, Croydon also received this honour and saw him once with the uniform and sword.

So this is an example of Roman Catholic church exclusivity - just the way Jesus planned it!
