I lived and studied in Freiburg for 3 years. I still want to go back and live there the rest of my life. I fell in love with this town
Why did u come back ? Why didn't you apply for a work visa ?
I love Freiburg and would love to live there ❤.
I lived and studied there for two years, and miss it so much!
@@schauzeit Come back! Heirate a Freiburgerin by stepping into ä Bächle
Hola, en qué lugar viviste? Estoy buscando alojamiento cerca de Freiburg, porque en Freiburg es muy caro
Spent 10 days in Freiburg about 9 years ago. Still my favourite holiday.
Once I lived in Freiburg for a month, I fell in love with it. Freiburg is the best city in Deutschland 😍
Please tell more.
Im gonna be living there for 3 months starting in september, i cant wait
I lived in Freiburg until I was 18 (which is only 1,5 years ago) and I can confirm that it really is a very beatiful and modern city with many green parts and a great public transportation system. The biggest problems are, as mentioned, the very high rents, they are among the highest in all of Germany.
9:10 This is NOT the way from Himmelreich to Freiburg! It´s the way from Freiburg to Günterstal (a part of Freiburg on paper, but it looks more like a village. You can see it at 9:25 in the background.) Anyway, good documentary about my home town :)
Hi. I wanna understand the situation of high rents in Freiburg better.
Why aren't people building more buildings if they can earn from rents? What would it cost to build a 3 story apartment building there? The place looks small on satellite map so I think there's still room to expand? I even see fields all around so would it be possible to buy a farm or a part thereof and build such a building?
Hi
Mostly you are not allowed to build on the fields and - its expensive too.
Just a few are able to afford this
I know it! It looked familiar but I've never been to Himmelreich. Günterstal tho was beautiful
I was born and raised in Freiburg, and i moved to Stuttgart after 17years.
I still love this city, and go there as much as i can.
It is so different, in the way of living… everything happens outside, and you have so many options there.
Step in a Bächle, then you have to marry a Freiburgerin and stay here :)
Freiburg has a whole school dedicated to sustainability!
DW you are doing nice work.
Its so awesome watching this after a couple of beers 😂😂
He looks quite natural on the board!
Inspiring city !!
Best city in the world😛🤩
Freiburg Germany always very paradise, wonderful, beautiful, safe, tidy and clean, that is, it is the best public transport 😍😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤❤

For a Freiburger its great to watch the Video!

@@DWTravel thanks 🙏

I love Freiburg im Breisgau Munster is a historically monument in this beautiful students town universtyes, Thomas Morris school 🏫, Goethe institute is the best. Real natives are always kind and open hearts.(Feirling beer 🍺😉garden and Rothaus, Ganther beer are the best)
More Freiburg!
Que bonito
Gehschdu vom Platz der alten Synagog runner mit deim Bike!
thats not the way from Himmelreich Station to Freiburg
Want to know about a international university in Freiburg for Ecology and wildlife
I wonder what Friburgs views on Cannabis production are now that Germany has legalized this plant medicine...🤔
It seems to me to be the ideal place for sustainable, eco-friendly production.
Vauban looks like Utopia
Vauban's Block-type thermal power plant being seen as sustainable is a quite old misconception isn't it? Haven't we clarified that burning wood isn't the "greenest" way to produce energy and definitely not co2 neutral?
Definitely not C-Neutral, but much better than burning coal or even corn ethanol.
So lange man nicht mehr Holz verbrennt, als nachwächst, ist es sehr wohl CO2-neutral.
Do this guy have his own you tube channel?
No, but we have more videos with Lukas on this channel. Like this one: th-cam.com/video/bNWZ0sh46Y0/w-d-xo.html
How is the cost of living here?
@arsha2457 Hard to say, compared to other cities, Freiburg is not one of the cheapest.
It‘s very high… so you have to consider 1000€ for one person in a little two room apartment.
bien guez
How can one become DW presenter?
DW Travel my fav travel channel.
You probably have to be german :D
Next video on furtwangen, black forest
What’s your favourite city @DW Travel?
😂 I'm on my way from Leipzichh to Fraiburg
@Dw travel. I would like to put proposal for same under fact finding mission. To do
Sustainable travel for 10-14 days ( probably create a photo series/ video series or a small conclusive document) in Freiburg or Cologne through walks, biking, trains/trams thus to know about city's sustainable architecture under SDG Goal 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities and to gather information on how they worked on the mission to "Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable".
I need contacts and names of people like local Guides, or agency or better one point of contact from airport to airport helping in getting from sustainable hotels/ B&B s to city tours to fun activities to back to airport after the trip. Is it possible, if you can share some information as I will connect and put it in my proposal. Thank you.
Sorry, but we are all in our own projects and researches and have no capacities to do this for others as well. You can contact the official local tourist boards. Maybe they can help you out. For Freiburg: visit.freiburg.de/en and Cologne: www.cologne-tourism.com/?_ga=2.109653317.1585147031.1681720826-1081817883.1681720826 . Or the official German tourist board: www.germany.travel/de/ueber-uns/uebersicht.html Best regards!
@@DWTravel Thank you so much for replying. Truly appreciate it.
Why we can't create such cities in all over the world
*Fauban = Vauban
Notice something on the Wall of the power plant 😂😂😂
Dhruv Rathee 😉🤔
6:17 somebody notice trump's name on wall 🤥🙈
German is very great country but unfortunately i can't speak german :(
Most Germans speak at least a bit English - with a heavy accent. ;)
What? We kan spiek englisch weri guud!
Just kidding, it depends on the age. Many young people can speak english at least on a mediocre level, but older people often only speak a little or no english.
@@flashgamezocker yeah to be honest i met most of your German they can speak English, well even tho i try learn german language but very hard lol
@@flashgamezocker werri hardt haha
German is definetly are very hard languange. Especially the definite articles are so hard that even we Germans are sometimes unsure how to use them, for example: Is it "Der Joghurt" or "Das Joghurt"? I already heard both of them multiple times and I´m actually not sure which is the right one :D
When folks try to change their accent to sound American 😅😂
Just to be clear, the uneven and messy appearance of the buildings in Vauban (shown here) has nothing to do with sustainability at all.
sustainable, but is it scaleable? how about people who have ambitions?
Dhruv bhai aapka channel hack hogaya h kya😭
Don't take Nextbike bike rentals, if you come to Germany. I have been fined 20 $ twice !!, bad bikes that break down and you end up paying for it. Customer care is grumpy and rude ... not at all what Freiburg stands for.
La calidad del aire en Freiburg es horrible.
Where is dhruv
The next video with Dhruv will be online next Wednesday.
Luke why did you change a instead of ah that was too American hahaha
Bring dhruv back
The next video with Dhruv will be online next Wednesday.
Eine Stadt, die wächst, kann niemals nachhaltig sein.
