Jehovah Nissi! I remember Moses, when he buit an altar for God. For me, the most important thing in worship is not in the outward but it is inside our hearts! If we are living our lives as a sacrifice of worship, holy & acceptable for Him, and if we live in His righteousness, if we have peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, we can be standard bearers, not just physically but spiritually. It will be manifested in our actions.
Watching this just gave me an interpretation to a dream the Lord gave me a while ago. I was in this beautiful field with a ton of people. There was this giant red silk like parachute and the people were kind of bouncing around interwoven into the parachute. Then we all raised it up and went underneath (kind of like kids in gym class with the big parachute, at least when I was a kid we did that lol) and as we’re all just in this parachute I hear the utmost, beautiful, unworldly singing. To this day it is the most beautiful sound I had ever heard and all the singing was was “oooo, aaaa, oooo” there weren’t any words it was just this indescribable sound. It was so beautiful. It was so amazing that I woke up from the dream and was upset that I had woken up!! I wanted to go back to sleep to hear the singing!! When you said the verse in Song of Solomon I remembered that and that has to be what that dream was about. That’s so beautiful 😭❤️🙌🏽🔥 I love the Lord so much.
I do not agree that worship flags are biblical. However, there is no sin in them if they are used to worship the Lord. Your flags are beautiful. God bless you.
Worship flags are in the Bible the same way that the Holy Trinity is in the Bible. It is not explicitly stated but still taught. Praise dance is in the Bible. Us raising flags (Psalms 20:5) are in the Bible. The worship flag merely combines the two and is a type of praise dance.
I'm so glad about this teaching... In a moment when I listened it, I got a revelation! When someone concer a territory, what he does? Rise up his flag! It's a statement that it's his territory now!!! One of Gods name is Yahweh Nissi, Lord is my victory flag! When we worship with flags, we are making ing a statement of His presence, victory, lordship, love. And our commitment - trusting and doing - His Word. I hope I explained it good... English is not my first language...
I have wondered about this before. Great discussion. Still not sure where I stand but I don’t see anything sinful about them. I have been to one church with them and I found them very distracting.
Worship flags are far more than fabric on a stick and for many it takes some understanding about how they add to a corporate worship expression to appreciate their addition to worship Thanks for contributing to the conversation.
Very interesting information. Never really heard of worship flags before. I have seen banners hanging on church walls with the names of God written on them in some churches of my particular denomination. And we even use the Christian flag in Vacation Bible School and such. But it's not something I've ever seen used as part of modern worship. Maybe I'm too sheltered?
I didn't grow up with worship flags either - it wasn't part of a worship expression. It was something I saw in my "imagination" but it wasn't until I was 35 and found myself at a charismatic church that I saw them for the first time. It took me a long time to investigate what scripture had to say about them.
It was imagery of the Chuppa, which was a man-made covering like a little tent over the wedding, bride and groom, and then the tehliet was put around them

“His banner over me is love” is a picture of the man’s prayer shawl over the bride and groom in the Jewish wedding. It is Chrsit’s “seamless garment”.
Yes, quite beautiful imagery.
