Zefa - I watched the whole thing. Amazing. I also find it hilarious that Moyen was probably analysing every possible move, meanwhile you are drawing cars and being hilarious on the other side 😂😂😂👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I may have missed you commenting on it, but thoughts on new Genie over Rabbit? I feel like draw 3 shuffle has the potential to set up more wins with Jafar.
So i've tested genie vs rabbit (including in r/p) and ultimately preferred rabbit over genie (unless you're using a lamp build). Genie feels horrible to get shot down by zeus. His 3/5 body is huge but if challenging with him in combat, he'll probably have damage on him and be abled to be taken out by the opponent before he draws you a card. Rabbit also has lines where it can take out a character while also drawing, and that rabbit damage + your removal spells feels like good trades. I think enter the play trigger effects are just too good and that's why most of the best characters have effects you can take advantage of the turn it comes into play (surfer stitch, madam medusa/tremaine, maleficent dragon, ursula etc). Even jafar is able to sing the turn he comes into play if you shift him and if he was unshiftable, I think he would be near unplayable. So in conclusion, I prefer rabbit over genie in almost all decks due to its immediate effect of drawing you a card. Though if the meta goes heavy discard... there might be arguments for genie. Also on the note of genie's drawing 3 right after jafar wheel...i've found that if u even get a single jafar wheel off in a game, you're most likely winning the game. The extra 3 lore as a finisher from genie will rarely affect the outcome of the game, maybe it'll matter 1 in 50 games. But the rabbit's consistency will affect a signifcantly higher # of games than that.
The goat has posted a video once again. Great run man cant believe we didn’t play each other . Also watching that jafar wheel combo to win game 3 in top 16 was incredible also the wombo combo last round . Cant thank you enough for the shoutout for being one of the best players . Hopefully both of us can make another deep run in the next one brother 💯💯💯💯💯
Congratulations on your run Zefa! You do yourself a disservice - playing that amount of games, I would argue - makes you good and worthy of your finishing spot! We certainly don’t question your place there and hopefully you don’t either! You have inspired me to keep pushing with Jafar. Would you make any changes now you’ve had time to reflect? I loved your interview with Lorcana Villian by the way!
appreciate your words. right now, I wouldn't make any major changes and would keep an eye on the meta. I could possibly increase rise of titans to a 4 count, or along came zeus to a 3 count for example. But it would mostly be meta dependent.
I started with a lot more jafar centric builds but started moving away from it as I realized the core deck of blue fairy + floodborns was too absurdly strong. In my opinion, jafar wheel decks should utilize jafar as an extremely strong accessory to the backbone a extremely strong purple steel midrange core, with the combo giving the deck a constant threat of lethal out of nowhere and insane reach. Going too all in on the jafar combo made the deck too easily disruptable, not to mention that the combo doesn't auto win you games. It was too polarizing in both high and low rolls while feeling like it reduced the overall average win % of the deck in the end.
ye, i have put in sorcereers hat, ursulas cauldrn and magich mirror for more gain in draw when jafar on field. Robin Hoods are very pricy at the moment @@ZefaGames
Hmmm i havent touched jafar in a while but if you're feeling lucky it can certainly do well. I lean heavier into benjas if you're expecting a lot of blue red or blue steel item decks, and play 1 ftc, minimum 2 ftc if u expect a lot of lower to the ground steelsong decks or merfolk type decks. There is a different jafar version i've tried that doesn't build heavy on the fairy plan but I just haven't tested it enough to have strong opinions on it. Specimen did bring it to the last major Thea's tournament so if you go check out his youtube channel, you may get some ideas or inspiration on jafar from him so I'd go check that out at the very least.
@@ZefaGamesIf you quest with the smaller Jafar, then shift into big Jafar, would the blue fairy draw not get you a lore as Jafar came into play exerted?

With this deck you really want to hit a curve. Only keep AWNW if you have the actual early wheel + shift in hand without having to mulligan too much and especially if you're on the play. Otherwise, mostly look for a 1 2 3 curve, with a focus on blue fairy. That's why the deck plays a solid # of 1 and 2 drops.

Round 3 Game 1 was when the math teacher gets a smart board for the first time 💀

Great run and great video! Any changes you’d make to the deck after the event?
very minor things, like an extra titans or an extra zeus depending on what i expect in the meta
i want to build this deck and tried but i have not got any of the robin hood shift, what you reccomend instead, new jafar 3 cost?
hmmm, with no robin hood package, i'd just fill up more on captain hook, smee, and maybe 4 drop jafar keeper of secrets

11:07 why does Blue fairy's activation not trigger jafar's lore gain?

i love me a 50/50 gamble, especially with a 1% edge

rest in peace wallet
Just trade in other hobbies for credit and get the singles. To easy.
Sorry, but why do you call A Whole New World, "wheel"?
There was a broken magic the gathering card called wheel of fortune, cost 3 mana... each player discards their hand and draws 7 cards.
That wasn't broken, contract from below was much better.
