If I ever hit the lotto I won’t tell anyone but there will be signs, such as having a home gym full of those beautiful plates lol

So, for the max load of 300 lb on Kensui's top of the line vest, one would need 12 x 25 lb weights, for a total of ~1200 USD + ~260 USD for the vest itself = ~1460 USD, without shipping. After checking their website, without applying any codes, Kensui is selling a '157.5 kg set' for 1200 USD (-200 USD cheaper than it would be otherwise, apparently), totaling 347 lb, so the napkin math checks out. A fair chunk of change, but it's good to keep in mind before a purchase if the intent is a 300 lb weight vest - which I think would be the heaviest option available world wide, from what I've seen. I suppose one could combine this vest with weighted pants/shoes/gloves/anklets and get around 400-450 lb out of it. That's enough to crush most people... and it just sounds extremely appealing to me.

Nostalgia... Sheraton Bal Harbour, Miami, 80's, everything was chromium plated! The dumbbells, the Nautilus machines, and mirrors 😀 lovely people. The hotel no longer exists. Cheers

It also looks like if you decided to add some barbell training like Deadlifts to round out a functional training protocol, these plates would easily do the job.

Is that ridge enough to be able to pick them up easily? Curious if they are a bit "slippery" or hard to handle.

fair review, but i would put myself in the category of someone who wouldn't use something like this very much, if at all, and it's way too expensive. calisthenics to me is a lot about not having those entrance barriers like gym memberships and expensive equipment.

a fast question, are they really that much skinnier than a bumper plate?

      19mm (¾") for these and a 25lb urethane is 40mm and a 45lb urethane is 53mm. Regular hitemp bumpers are 2x those thicknesses, with a 45lb being 82mm (3¼") 25.4 mm per inch.

They do look great for sure but out of my price range at the moment. Do you have any other way in which i could do weighted push ups? I just have a 10kg weighted vest at the moment

Get a backpack and fill it with water bottles or something with a little weight in it. And adjust the straps so that the backpack is tight around your shoulders/chest, so that it doesn't move around. Cheap and effective solution!

      for pushups:
get a cheap 20 kg plate and balance it on your back.
get some heavy chain and drape it over your upper back.
get a friend or enemy to put a foot on your back and press down.

I would be far more interested in these if they didn't have the rubberized color coding.

I own a Kensui Fitness Max V2 EZ Vest, which is the most expensive weight vest that Kensui Fitness sells. It is very uncomfortable to wear, put on, and take off by myself. It is so uncomfortable, I stopped using it.
