Vickor, I'll disagree with you on the first option. As a former Microsoft engineer for the past 15 years, I truly, deeply, madly hated Vim :) whenever I came across it, which (thankfully) was not that much in the Microsoft world ... But man, K9s is sick and as more commenters already mentioned, one of the most underrated tools in the K8s world. I am on a mission to like every K9s video, hope it will help increase awareness.
Oh yeah. It's one of my favourite tools. I love "small" tool that do one thing and do it well. On top of that, any tool that will allow me to stay inside my terminal is a winner in my book.
It clearly stands for dogs. But, as a sidenote, there exists a certain container orchestration tool, called "Kubernetes", which is commonly abbreviated "k8s". Has for sure nearly nothing to do with that tool.
Using k9s for last 15 months and cannot recommend it enough!
It is truly awesome. There is nothing even close to it when k8s is concerned.
Been using K9s for over a year now. Most underrated Kubernetes tool yet.
Good video, I've just had a crash intro to it today and yesterday, I love vim, you've helped me understand k9s advantages.
Thank you!
Liked the way of explanation!! It's a nice tool.👍
Just liking this video coz of the dubstep music you played in between :D Of course k9s rocks too.
Awesome tool. Did not know about it. Thanks!
LOVE VIM!

This tool is fantastic

I don't like Vim but I love using k9s :)😄
When you talked about deleting a pod you said you’d never do that from a tool like k9s.. Why is that (For NPE)?
Because I want to track changes in Git. Otherwise, how can my colleagues know what i did and why i did it?
@@DevOpsToolkit So in this case - Only a timestamp change or such for redeploying the pod? (With a commit explanation for why the redeploy was done)
@roylevy178 yes. I am not ssentually talking about gitops.
Out of curiosity, why is it called k9s?
Is there any way to filter multiple labels as in : label1-podname label2-status:running
You can add any custom command to lose.
how about neovide?
I haven't tried it yet :( Will do...
First commit! commit :D
Yet another tool I can't exit !!1oneone
Out of curiosity, why is it called k9s?
When pronounced, "k nine s" sounds like canines, which means dogs.
It clearly stands for dogs. But, as a sidenote, there exists a certain container orchestration tool, called "Kubernetes", which is commonly abbreviated "k8s". Has for sure nearly nothing to do with that tool.
