Thanks for the feedback James! Glad you enjoyed it. Yup this island is pretty ideal !! Finally getting to enjoy boatlife instead of just working all the time haha. BUT - projects are comin ! (Do you follow us on Instagram? We have a lot going on there in real time with projects!)
Hey Marcel thanks for watching! Yes we definitely have to work on the beautification of Joco next - we have put so much hard work and $ into all her systems, but it is coming !!! The work is never done on a boat :) Do you have a fav varnish to recommend ?
@@sailingjoco Epifanes is a really good brand. Used it on my sailboat in the past. Have a look at Sailing Magic Carpet, they love Epifanes varnish and paint.
Okay just binge watched from the BVI's to where you are now and I have a suggestion for sound deadening in your engine room. First buy some fire retardant spray on from local hardware store and use it to spray onto empty egg trays which you then stick onto blank wall/ceiling/floor areas in said space! Ive seen it done and even if it only takes 5-10db of sound away its got to be worth it? Good luck and keep learning!
Hey Tim, thanks for watching !!! Love that you binge watched our travels since BVI ! Glad to see you’re enjoying them. This is a very interesting idea indeed! We have always thought our engine was a bit loud, but then we have had several people come on board and tell us it’s not loud at all hahahah. But we still would like it to be quieter for sure. One day we will revamp the engine room and make it beautiful with the noise muffling material, whenever our tiny budget allows for it ⛵️ Keep watching & share with your friends to help us out ! 😂😜👌
Hey Doug! We haven’t actually used it yet lol! So far we have just rigged up a full preventer line run from the boom to the bow cleat and back to a winch on opposite side and that has been our go to. We used it on our first ever 3 day sail , feel free to go back and watch that episode ! (North Carolina to South Carolina)
great video, I the wind noise was not a big deal. it was brief and not very distracting. That island looked so amazing . you guys are living well

Nice video.
You have such a beautiful boat, sorry to see the wood on the companioway in such a bad state. A varnish would do wonders😉

Thanks Doug! It’s a beautiful place isn’t it. And no one is there !! lol
Time for couple of those noise cancelling microphones or that fuzzy rabbit feet or whatever it is they put on them during windy conditions.😆
Hahaha yeah probably right !
Need to find a simple diy version ; near impossible to find things like that in the islands! Thanks for watching :)
Aloha, I see you use a Wichard Gyb'Easy. How do you like it? Please tell me.
