Futuresight is a pretty cool concept in MtG and it’s nice that priest finally has that in its tool box. Incredibly flavorful and strong effect.

The Narain animation is a reference and hyping up to the upcoming new Shadow Priest Hero Talent: Entropic Rift for the new WoW expansion The War Within. It summons a black hole that sucks everything in. It's the most amazing spell animation in the history of WoW, coincides with the most amazing Priest card in the history of Hearthstone. I don't think this is a coincidence at all. Priest hype all around!
Sensory deprivation feels like a worse reverberations imo, prolly a good thing.

I love the legendary, it Will def make it into my (only 4 cost cards ) reno deck.
Priest legendary, very fun, good job Blizzard, give them credit where its due. Works really well with deck trackers of course, it makes the player think of their odds and gives big emotions when the player gets the best result!
Narain is really cool, not only he lets you see what your next card is, but he also gives you insane value.

Narain is even more insane than I initially thought. Seeing that gameplay video where it actually copies the modifications makes me certain this card will be insane.
At worst Narain gives you two extra copies of a card you probably included in your deck anyway. I'm raging at Plagues again
The only question is what cards to swap out from my current Highlander Priest for these. These cards are all just autoincludes especially if that Perils card that lets you curate your next three draws feels as good in here as I think it will.

Thats very helpful in many cenarios, are you playing against agro, get many board clears, against control, infinity value.
And you can get even more copies using other priest cards.

Narain Soothfancy is really good because the fortunes dont go away effectively allowing for multiple copies of things.

Narain Soothfancy to get the fortunes, then Twilight Medium when Aman'thul is the top card of your deck... play both for 1 mana each. If those are the only three minions in your deck, Eternal Servitude will always let you get a copy of Aman'thul back as well... seven copies of a single Titan, plus the possibility for more with Resurrection, Diamond Spellstone, Mass Resurrection, etc. Or you might find something better from one of the random legendaries you get from Aman'thul ability uses.
rest in peace with Hedonis could bring him full health at 1 less mana, so combo potential for burst damage?

Wish they woulda played pip with narain to show if the fortune or base card would be copied. I assume it would work the same as copying a mirage but ive never had that interaction.

so the fortunes chage to what ever the top card of your deck currently is
but after that 6+4 card combo you wont have the mana to player those (1) mana copy cards and in the next turn you dont get any discount on the next topdeck

Lots of keywords this expansion: amulet, cheese. Drinks, treasure, sandwich, tourist and now fortune.
Out of all these only Tourist is a keyword. Drinks are like Twispell but with 3 uses and the rest are just tokens from Legendaries.
Keywords are written in bold. Thus only Tourist is a keyword from those.
The other words are all non-bold and simply reference a card name. With Drinks simply being a way of expressing a mechanic (It's functionally identical to Bunch of Bananas and Barrel of Monkeys)

Priest will still get crushed by hand buff paladin, because no-one puts a hand on those ridiculous stat buffs in Paladin, making it outplay almost all control decks in most of the matches

Rest in Peace is not going to be fun in wild. Big Priest will just abuse this.
Surely there’s better revival cards in wild that don’t have as big of a downside as RiP’s.
It is true if big priest can survive 1-2 boards of giants, pirate rogue, killing you on turn 4-6 and painlock with Tamsin on 5 and the following 1-3 turn kill. The main problem of big priest in wild is how to summon first big minion faster then opponent will kill you.
I don't think Rest in Peace makes the cut in Wild.
Big Priest already has more than enough resurrect spells (To the point that some already get cut) and Rest in Peace is neither cheaper nor does it have a good additional effect compared to them.
Big Priest has no D only O and the O comes too late usually.

Priest always has such dumb design. We all complain about how reno warrior was auto-win against any other slow deck, and yet priest has been the same way for the better part of 10 years. I can see it coming again just off these cards.
A lot of these make me excited to play an extra toxic Demon Hunter. I feel like they're actually better in DH than priest.

@@JayS1622 no seeing the Card By its own making This Card solid but Not op. Op Cards have insane impact just By Playing it By itself. This Card is a midgame body who gives you Knowledge. Playing this in Turn 4 gives you Power Play OPPERTUNITIES in the LATER GAME STAGE. Otherwise its just a body. There Are no Crazy combo priest Cards in Standard. This Card is no mana cheater itself This Card also doesnt change the luck etc in some way. Your next Card can be crap Even the Card After. You could be dead Turn 5/6 against Aggro. So all in all This Card is good in what it does. But its Not op or a Must Nerf at all. Whats OP about it ? MAAAAYBE in wild combo or Aggro priest but its so Situational.

Get 2 copies of a card (With flexibility as you can wait and get an extra copy of something else later)
That doesn't sound particularly exciting. Especially without Dredge to manipulate the deck (At best there's Overplanner)
It has decent stats, it gives you information about what your next card is, and lets you copy any 2 cards. That's a good value for 4 Mana.
And the synergy with cards like Polkelt that change the order of your cards makes it even more interesting.
Creation protocol is also 4 mana without a body, though it does activate your ignis. I think the problem with narain is that your hand is always full with reno priest already, especially if your narrain hits an ananthul you will likely mill your next ananthul. It synergizes well with ra-den as well. If priest gets a less clunky boardclear as well later I think this will be a great expansion for them
@@locogato3488 A 4 mana 4/4 do nothing is not decent stats.
The copying is highly random and most of the things you want to copy (Reno, Aman'thul, Elise) are cards you want to play situationally but the copies require the specific scenario of the original card being on the top of your deck.
If the rest of Priest's cards feature heavy deck manipulation, I can see it being decent. But otherwise I think Creation Protocol is just better. Since not only does it specifically tutor for minions, but it keeps them in your hand so you can play them when appropriate.
The only real upside of Narain is that it can copy non-minions. So you can do something like get an extra Reno or Puppet Theatre on occasion. As well as it enables you to use Twilight Medium (But I'm not sure if that combo would be worth running)
@@tarille1043 How many stats should it have it be decent with that Battlecry? It could have been way worse like a 4 Mana 3/2.
The copying is random but you can hold them until you get a card you want to copy.
Priest won't get any more deck manipulation, they will get self damage cards for Aranna. But the card is still decent even on its own, it's similar to Creation Protocol but both are good in different ways.
And it not being limited to minions is huge upside.
@@locogato3488 In todays Hearthstone being at least a Yeti would be decent, though Rush or Taunt would be preferable.
The card is decent, but not amazing. It's limitations on what you can copy (Especially as there is no more deck manipulation) make it kind of meh compared to Protocol.

Ok rant time. Why does it seem like the design for this game keeps getting worse and worse? I feel like a very large proportion of the cards in this set either have mana discounting effects or mana cheating effects (via summoning or something). I do not understand this design philosophy whatsoever... this kind of shit has always been problematic for the meta, because it's *unfun* and *boring* design. So many decks use broken ass effects and it looks like there is no end in sight for this kind of stuff. I am not looking forward to this set's release...

You know, I really dislike the design choices of this set. The setting, the aggressive nonsense, the insane feels bad Priest. Nothing feels fun to play from this set. Maybe this is premature, but I dont feel this set will help with HS standard problems at all. More nerfs incoming!
