    I mesh it as close as possible spinning full circle to make sure there is a very small amount of play on all teeth and check squareness that way. If you have a tight spot, need to check into it.

    Building mine as we speak as I’m watching this. My setup is bigger, so I had to modify the chassis to bury the esc. Not big into having the esc sit high. Top heavy and susceptible to damage. GREAT VIDEO!

    Nice build. On my spur , the grubs didn’t hold and it spun on the shaft first try up the road. I used lock tite as well. I’m running 30/33 800kv max5. Same blue HD cover. M2C brace and esc holder. Do I need red lock tite? What did you use. My mesh sounded just like yours. Flawless and that little noise

    brother, i’m about to do the same set up. i have the engine and esc and gears coming, but all the wiring i need i have no clue how to obtain. i bought a engine mount that i’m not happy with and want to order the one you have. i’m completely new to all this and completely lost. if you could throw a few places to look up the wiring at or what i need for wiring i would be appreciate it, man. thanks. peace and safe travels

      When you say the wiring you need, are you referring to the motor wires, ESC wires, wires for servo? If you have the Castle motor then maybe check their website. I’d be happy to help, I just need more specifics.

      thanks, brother. motor wires going from engine to esc. i’m starting understand it a little more. i’m watching your video again right now. i have the engine set in place right now and going to set it up as soon as my wfo mount comes in and the esc mount. i just got my gears in. 30/35 b&m 1.5

      The motor should have the wires already connected, just need to see if it fits in the plugs on the ESC.

      Thanks man! I really like the sensored system though. Do you think the XLX2 might be better? Hobbywing isn’t sensored at the moment with the Max 5 right?

  • @Sheldinator
    @Sheldinator 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    the only thing im hating in the rc cars is that if any car you buy example this xmaxx if you put a faster pinion you cant bash it they say cause it makes it each the pinions and spur gear and the electronics would over heat they say. isnt there a way to make the xmaxx faster example without making the electronics suffer when bashing? i wanna upgrade my max to run 50 mph when i get it BUT without the fear of ruining the electronics when bashing. i hate driving in a straight line

    • @GoKaioken
      @GoKaioken  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Here is what you do, you gear it for the speed you wanna hit, but then use a transmitter where you can dial back the throttle percentage. When you go for speed, turn it to 100%, if you’re bashing around, turn it to 70%. This is the only compromise UNLESS you gear down.

    I'll never understand why you guys run 800kv Slow. Makes no sense that's just a big ass generator when you let off the throttle going back to the ESC for nothing have to run 12S and gear it 2 to 1 to get any power. Usable power use a big can at least 1700kv more like 2500kv to 3000
