I think that board is going to make an even bigger bang when it gets plugged in!
Μy thoughts exactly.
depends if solenoid was replaced also (assumption its for solenoid). if not than i agree.
Hell yeah 😂
I hope the poor owner reads your comment and doesn't plug it or! Definitely in for a surprise. 😂
Well, for me it looks like a pressure of time for fixing devices. There were few things more Alex could do about this board. It will definitely make a big boom.
Next time send in the boat for reassemble and test
😂😂😂
I wonder how long big boss will need to assemble or disassemble it
@@chopper680probably won’t see him any more, as the boat drifts away into middle of the ocean. :)
i think is not a problem for big boss
😂
Update: 5/14/2024 We replaced L21 with the correct component. Eric saved the day. Thank you. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL8Q3bn86Fr4ROddAwxm7yr788X-KsMI
Few pointed out that the broken trace is L21. while that is true, the value of the component is unknow and this likely being EMI filter, replacing with a direct wire will not have a noticable effect considering the size of the component. If you know the value of the inductor, feel free to share it, otherwise it won't make a difference
Came here just to read about the L21 🤣
Thanks for the explanation.
Yea i had noticed L21. its likely a filter inductor.. i have a feeling something shorted the output.. and it acted as a fuse.
Did it work?
Alex, that is conformal coating on the board. I sent you a bottle of conformal coating remover from MG chemicals last year.
@@bblod4896for sure it’s a coating. I work in repairing pcbs with this coating and use a similar remover and it works great.
You can test it Alex. All you need is a 35 foot cabin cruiser. I will sell you one.
Something else downstream in the circuit probably failed... that board will just fail again, but next time it will REALLY go boom!
What can you do?
@@me_bee_ste_1355 measure resistance or shorts of actuators!
@@me_bee_ste_1355look for a short to ground
😂@@me_bee_ste_1355
Surely you can tell him how to test the circuit, yes?
Big Boss is going on a trip to the port to reassemble and test ⛵
as entertaining and thought provoking as the videos always are, I love to browse the comments for scientists remarks !!!!
i am now stranded on an island, the auto pilot took a wrong turn
Well It'll either work or go Boom..!! better tell the customer to keep a fire extinguisher near and handy just incase 😂👍
Damn, I love this channel. Thank you for sharing Alex! Always amazing!
Fixed with a proper calibrated wire.
If the Otto Pilot is not working, ask the flight attendant, Elaine Dickinson to help. 😎
Have a great Mother's Day.
Nice "Airplane" reference
@@manual6speed
I am glad someone got it 😎
I don't think Alex speaks Jive.

ROFLOL
😂😂😂 shirley you can’t be serious
An amazing proper calibrated wire 😂
he used two wires so there is a backup 👍🏻There's only so much you can do
proper nice 😂
We have picture, that's crazzy
Where are my mosfets?
@@ricardoferreira2811 I found it I found it
The yellow component looked like a PTC.
or a resetable fuse, he should have checked for short on the line.
You are correct.
Agreed with you guys, maybe it will be a lesson learned for Alex.
Watching from South Africa I might not be able to afford the equipment but thankfully due to your generosity I'm able to enjoy your vids...your explanation and incite is awesome.....
Did it work or did you create the next Gilligan's Island out of the boat?
Great job Alec cause the copper coil will reduce the voltage there after.😎👍
Surprised you didn't use your favourite heavy-duty-braid :-)
Love youe new videos Alex and other youtubers videos. Better than Factory 😊
One day, you'll have your own yacht, cruising the waves of success. Best wishes from Lebanon we are proud of you
nice job
that flux does all the work damm
hI Alex for future reference .. Mybe you al ready Know this.... All The label of the compontens tha star with an "L".. are inductors or coils......And as you also may already know are normaly used to fiolter noise.. if they are on the inputs ....
I think that was a fusible trace that blew up if thats the case then there could be a problem with the board or there was a huge load on it like stuck propeller that caused it.
Sir Alex what type of Webcam you are using at your desk.. Do you sell any at your shop
Would be great to know if tbe board is functioning again or not 😊
Great work, as always. Alex, can you make one video of your bench. And All the tools you have set up there. That you use daily and the studio lighting setup for recording videos you using. jazak Allah khair
The yellow part looks like a resettable fuse.
I was thinking EFI...
I I captain , awesome stuff boat Items are expensive
humidity from the salt water probably killed it due to lack of coating. i hope your customer knows to recoat the whole thing before installing, otherwise it will happen again.
You should send Big Boss to reassemble and test the board on customer boat ;)
i think thats a fuse😮
That wire is the new fuse. 😂😂
Awesome ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
I think a fuse goes there Alex, we use a similar board on our falcon 9
Would like to get and update from him on that😅 the risk he takes 😅.
Hey Alex, did you get Feedback from the Customer and does it work again?
you are doing great 👍 👌
please say hi to big boss , may i ask where is big boss from?
That component was supposed to be an inductor, but I don't think a straight up wire would honestly cause any issues in a solenoid firing circuit.
All of a sudden, everyone's a professional 😁🤓
@me_bee_ste_1355 alot that watch this are. I do this for a living, but enjoy watching him
for $2000 the manufacturer could have at least put a few fuses in at the input output,
It will be working that
proper calibrated wire 😂
Some heavy breathing inhale and exhale 😤 😀 good job on the repair 😇
Alexs mic is just too epic for your ears man, that's all🤙😊
@@me_bee_ste_1355I thought I was hearing Darth Vader😂
No circuit diagrams never seemed to hold you back :)
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but you should also try live streaming and then making a few videos using clips from your live stream.
Great job ali
Been seeing a ton of these advertisements!
Actually, it's because the word “boat” is an acronym. “Bash Out Another Thousand”. Because a boat is, in the popular dictionary definition, “A hole in the water into which the owner pours money.” Mar 7, 2019
great job
when I saw that common mode chocke, it reminded me the power supply circuits of "MyVanitar"
As always, better than factory!
What did you use here? 10:55
Solder mask
will be nice to update if that repair worked,,,,,,,, nice to work on something different

I would send it in for repair.
👍👍👍
Mini Hiroshima
Henry who? 😂😂😂
Lovely
Looks too small to be a power supply inductor, although it is possible. Very unlikely though.
And here what is this? 11:14
the green stuff is solder mask. but in this case not really needed.
FUSE BURNT OUT ???? NICE REPAIR !!!!!! I AM SURE YOU COULD FIX MY PLUMBING PROBLEMS TOO ????~~~~
Love from Pakistan
