You do you, Kyle. Longtime subscribers and loyal fans of yours like myself understand that there are only so many hours in the day. We’d rather see you thrive over the long term than to see you take on too much and burn yourself out. So take the time you need to put out the quality of product that you can feel good about and delivers that sense of satisfaction that is critical for your longevity as a content creator. My one request is please don’t abandon your non-React subscriber base. I’m a developer who tries to do as much as possible in plain vanilla JS and standard CSS. I endured years of noise with jQuery and Angular and Bootstrap and the like only to have the developer community return to center countless times. Not that I don’t see any merit in frameworks or project specifications where using them is expressly required but I’ve been at this long enough that I have libraries of my own that run circles around most frameworks. In any case, know that you are easily one of the best plain JS instructor/developers on TH-cam. No matter what your next big chapter is in your life/career (and I have a feeling React is central to it) please don’t lose sight of the flag you’ve planted and the territory you hold in the vanilla JS community. I wish you continued success!

I could not have said this in a better way. I develop in-company apps for my customers. My apps assume a 24" inch screen, keyboard and mouse and Chrome latest -2.
Most frameworks support a more fluid environment and have a steep learning curves. From my business point of view it is just not worth the effort...

@@Smurfis Did you watch the video at all? It's only 3 minutes long. Kyle is not taking a break to "focus on his health or just chill for a while." He's finishing his React series and preparing for another big soon-to-be-announced project. And he is still going to producing regular videos on this channel, just not as many per week.

Full support, Kyle. You help everyone here. Keep yourself happy and prosperous, otherwise there's no point. You're concerned that we perceive quantity as quality - not so. You may perceive that lower output might result in a less enthusiastic audience, and thus maybe a diminished audience for revenue efforts. I don't think that's the case. Anyone who sees your total work, the wealth of material that you produce over time, will be as inclined to consider your for-fee options, regardless of current weekly output. HTH

Hi Kyle, we're really lucky with all the free (high quality) content you've put out all these years. What you're basically saying is that you're still here, but only putting out one full-length video and one short a week instead of two full-length videos... Do you hear what you're saying? That's still crazy nice of you! It's still all free content and that's why I really hope you will spend more time on your courses because it's something you're passionate about and also probably a good source of income. Just make sure you don't overwork yourself. :)

Kyle, you've given so much of yourself to these TH-cam videos I think it's perfectly justified to break and focus on other efforts. We all need to adjust how we allocate a critical resource - ourselves - to the various projects and responsibilities that lie before us. So it's natural to shift the load now and again. Good luck with your efforts and thanks so much. Your videos have expanded my knowledge of front end development in so many ways. I'm grateful for your mentorship and eager to learn more. But don't burn yourself out. You've got an awful lot of irons in the fire.
