This episode felt so surreal. BJosh when he said he didn’t want to talk, I said puuuuuleaaaseee and then he started dropping the revelation. I wanna know the person of the Holy Spirit moreee!, it’s always so lovely and surreal. BJosh, thank you for heeding to the Holy Spirit’s leading to start the first love conversation. It’s a true blessing! And oh BPaul, dropping the revelations subtly and I love it. Thank Youuu and Thank You Jesus!🙌🏻
Wow this was really powerful. Tbh I unfortunately come from an abusive home and I really struggle to honour my abusive parent. Especially as my parent continuously abuses me. It’s even getting harder to forgive as well. So I’ll start praying more for the Holy Spirit. Not just for myself but for my abusive parent too.
Ecclesiastes 3:3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up I believe time matters when it comes to healing. Some things God will communicate to us at the time that He knows is right
I often struggle to counsel people with trauma on this issue. I believe this discussion has really helped me. We really need to understand that we obey our parents because of God and not because we think they deserve it or not. I would’ve never thought I can still honor someone that I couldn’t obey because their instruction went against God’s word. With that said, I think Dashen's perspective represents a lot of people who struggle to accept this topic no matter how hard they try. Even as I was listening and understanding, I honestly felt like what BJosh said at the end, that there’s someone out there who still doesn’t get it. I think she was asking if they can honor and obey but stay away in a sense. In someway it’s better for them than to be around an abuser. Eg their dad is in jail but they can still take care of him financially. They won’t let him suffer for what he did to them. But as for visiting him it’s too much for them. Waiting for part two.
Woooow I loved it. I understood Dashen however when it comes to surrendering to God it’s all about letting ourselves down to take up who he wants us to be🙏🏽
Can you honor while keeping your distance? I think that’s what Dashen was getting to. Like if you’ve forgiven your parents but they don’t change so being around them does you more harm than good. Like maybe every time you see them you are hurt by what they say or how they treat you. So you love and honor them by limiting your interactions.
Hey Pasita , let me answer your Question like this; The bible in Matthew 5:6 says "They that hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled" meaning the way to forgive you have to want to forgive "first" then help comes from there. Just like Bishop Paul said he wanted to but he couldn't. And like B_Josh once said that forgiveness is for me and not the other person. So when you start to see that forgiveness is not for the person I'm forgiving it's rather for me

Woow😮I believe that Honouring our parents and living with honor reminds us of who we are, who God is, and how much He loves us.
