Akane is considered the proto-tsundere. Others took the ball she threw and ran with it. So many of the common tropes were pioneered by Rumiko Takahashi
@Volonid The story goes is that when she was starting out, Rumiko Takahashi took a course by Osamu Tezuka. He was the father of modern manga and anime, the King, if you will. And she became the (her real nickname) the "Princess of Manga". Her prime take away was the importance of characters and she made sure to give each of hers a unique trait or two, so of course this led to the introduction of tropes. And since she liked to be creative, she avoided cliches and pioneered new ground
5:34 This song (Antanante) is totally a tsundere anthem. You should look into the translation of the lyrics (for the whole song). There is also now a version of the ED sung by the Japanese VA of Akane. Word is, that when Akane's Japanese VA heard the song, she cried.
I think you should check out the old 1st Ranma opening as well. It really makes you appreciate the animation of the first opening of this remake even more since they obviously pay homage to so much of it.
I can confirm this bop slaps, thank god they didn’t remake any of the old ops the first one was the only decent one but it wouldn’t have held up modern day dou
When this came out, there was a big Chinese culture boom in Japan, so there's a lot of influences in the series. Also, Hong Kong action cinema had peaked, but was still going strong, so the fights in the series got many inspirations from that.
They made a new OP and ED. The original (1989) was more crudely done, but it, like this one, showed you characters you wouldn't meet until later. Some, not until the next season. Don't watch the original opening unless you want to see characters you won't see until next season. The OP confirms the season will be around 12 episodes The animation quality for the show itself wasn't crudely done, but very good for its time Ranma had the proto-harem, the first but not the first by later standards
The Ranma Love Dodecahedron is chaotic and fun, though it takes a few episodes to build up to its full power. Great Cast though, the different character interactions/dynamics are a blast.
I love how the ED is centered towards the everyday lives of Ranma and Akane together. Pretty adorable. ❤❤❤
I wouldn't even call Akane a tsundere. She's usually pretty reasonable considering all the crazy shit happening around her.

@@tomdouge6618 to be honest anything “generic” about this anime was completely just pioneered by it in the first place which is what makes it so great

Ano is just the GOAT man. Whenever she does any anime songs it's gonna be a certified banger. 🔥🔥
I think the visuals of the OP capture just how chaotic the series is gonna get. I'm here for all of it!

I love lyrics for the ending and visuals go along with them really good.
That ed is the Tsundere national anthem with those lyrics.

Noo, my desire for spoilers is burning bright😊

It’s a love dodecahedron

Damn, just realised that best girl isn't going to be in it yet with who is shown in the OP
Man, I'm really sad that I missed your live stream reaction to ranma 😢
Didn't ano did one of the chainsaw man Ed?
