What is shocking, but not, as we Angels all know that Toby had written some of the biggest songs in the last 20 years for some of the biggest singers BUT I don't think Toby has consistently worked with an artist over and over. Not only does he introduce her as the world's biggest superstar that hasn't been discovered yet, he had chose her for his new piano diaries vision and she sung If I were a Boy but bit he has worked with her on this AND they have implied theses more song coming! As for the shoes, it's one of those rare occasions where she probably had to wear them due to the venue's own rules/policies and quite possibly a safety concern. She had to wear shoes when she was a debutante and performer at Le Bal in Paris, France last year, one of the oldest high end Balls in the world. They wrote this together. Toby's usual method of working is to get the artists talk about important events in their live, get first a tag line out of that, that will often become part of the chorus, and then build together the rest of the song around it, with more input of the artist's thoughts. That's bound to work well with Angelina, as she writes every day in her journal, from which she then also takes the inspirations to her songs, as she had explained in the past. @@kerrythomas6220 I can hear either, depending of what I read to it. But I cannot see a contradiction that lip reading would indicate. Which consonents / vowels exactly do you see controdicting my line? BTW, the beginning of the chorus can be clearer seen in the 2nd chorus. PS: I have two reasons to prefer my line: (1) in your "I'm a" , the "a" is not clean, while my "I would" sounds ok; (2) while "girl" instead of "your heart" would be possible, the run she does does not flow right for me, while the cadance with "your heart" sound quite natural.

Enlarge the video, isolate the vocals, slow them down 50%, zoom in on her lips and see what you come up with the third time she sings this phrase. I’ll bet your life I’m right. lol!
These lyrics were obviously written by Jordan, she doesn’t have a 100% grasp of the English language grammatically and is mixing tenses where it’s inappropriate but unnoticeable to almost everyone. Ive been subbed for 4 years. I think what you are experiencing is the AJ people are just watching the videos multiple times. It has to be that because look at your Diana views. She's good, but not in Angelinas league, yet has double and triple the views.
Who is the bad Valentine? Every good story is about development of the characters, preferably with a twist or realization on the way. While in the beginning it sounds like Angelina as the protagonist is cold and bad, we find out as we listen that it is not the case. She wants passion, fire and honesty. He is insincere, dispassionate and somewhat self absorbed - sees/hears only what he wants to see and hear, therefore will never really know her. If all passion is lost on his world, who is the bad Valentine? Angelina is an outstanding storyteller. Don't expect to get the whole story from the first verse. It's really strange, and interesting (sad), that you got so few subs in opposition to the views. TH-cam and TH-cam viewers are strange. What is shocking, but not, as we Angels all know that Toby had written some of the biggest songs in the last 20 years for some of the biggest singers BUT I don't think Toby has consistently worked with an artist over and over. As for the shoes, it's one of those rare occasions where she probably had to wear them due to the venue's own rules/policies and quite possibly a safety concern. She had to wear shoes when she was a debutante and performer at Le Bal in Paris, France last year, one of the oldest high end Balls in the world. They wrote this together. Toby's usual method of working is to get the artists talk about important events in their live, get first a tag line out of that, that will often become part of the chorus, and then build together the rest of the song around it, with more input of the artist's thoughts. That's bound to work well with Angelina, as she writes every day in her journal, from which she then also takes the inspirations to her songs, as she had explained in the past.
I think the subtitled lyrics did have some mistakes, here's my latest take on them:

Those lyrics are wrong! She’s singing “I thought I told you I’m a messed up girl”. Go to the end of the video, enlarge it and you can read her lips!
@@kerrythomas6220 I can hear either, depending of what I read to it. But I cannot see a contradiction that lip reading would indicate. Which consonents / vowels exactly do you see controdicting my line? BTW, the beginning of the chorus can be clearer seen in the 2nd chorus.
PS: I have two reasons to prefer my line: (1) in your "I'm a" , the "a" is not clean, while my "I would" sounds ok; (2) while "girl" instead of "your heart" would be possible, the run she does does not flow right for me, while the cadance with "your heart" sound quite natural.
@@most2dot0 she’s obviously saying girl. It’s one syllable, not two as in your heart. The next time she sings the phrase is the clincher. The vocal is much clearer and the close up lip read is very obvious. You’re trying to make a rhyme where there isn’t one!
Enlarge the video, isolate the vocals, slow them down 50%, zoom in on her lips and see what you come up with the third time she sings this phrase. I’ll bet your life I’m right. lol!
These lyrics were obviously written by Jordan, she doesn’t have a 100% grasp of the English language grammatically and is mixing tenses where it’s inappropriate but unnoticeable to almost everyone. Toby probably did the musical arrangement, he most likely did the same thing with the original “If I Were a Boy” with BC Jean having had the experience, thus her writing those lyrics and Toby adding the musical aspect to the project. He produced the Beyonce cover of “If I Were a Boy”, which was a huge hit.
Jordan is a brilliant songwriter, but she might want to employ an editor to find these minute imperfections so as to appease obnoxious grammatical nerds as exist on social media platforms 🤓🕵️😇🤡

Who is the bad Valentine? Every good story is about development of the characters, preferably with a twist or realization on the way. While in the beginning it sounds like Angelina as the protagonist is cold and bad, we find out as we listen that it is not the case. She wants passion, fire and honesty. He is insincere, dispassionate and somewhat self absorbed - sees/hears only what he wants to see and hear, therefore will never really know her. If all passion is lost on his world, who is the bad Valentine?
Angelina is an outstanding storyteller. Don't expect to get the whole story from the first verse. I always await an unfolding tale and allow myself to be taken on her journey.
