I am so glad I found your channel .. you're "my kind" of people LOL I get anxious and frustrated when people do stuff like you mentioned, too. And when they stand three/four wide in an aisle with no regard to other people trying to get by. And when they're doing annoying things for the sole purpose of being annoying .. like recently a guy in a thrift picked up a metal detector, tested it and it squealed and squawked like it should so he decided to purchase it .. and on every aisle through the rest of the store he was "detecting" the racks. And then we can't forget the lady on speaker phone having a conversation on volume 100 through the entire store. I had to leave .. I could feel my anxiety rising and when I get like that I'm too distracted and can't think straight. I work with special needs preschoolers so I have a pretty high tolerance for kids and actually enjoy listening to them play, but if it's busy and I'm shopping alone - I'm probably not going to last very long! 😂
@@flippinforchange I used to just disassociate in those high anxiety environments, but now that I have learned how to regulate and protect my peace, I rarely linger. When I edited this video, I realized I’d been so preoccupied either outside life stuff that I just fought through the anxiety, and I was laughing at how the video turned out. I can so hear my mood😂 What’s weird is the bins, or places I expect to be chaos, don’t bother me. But going into retail stores and seeing people running wild just sends me to fight or flight every time.
@@9TNS-28 ooohhh .. the bins .. I want to go so bad but haven't been brave enough! I think if I could find someone to go with I might be ok .. sometimes another person can be a good distraction .. but no one I know has any desire to go there LOL I have PTSD from a tornado that destroyed the neighborhood we lived in at the time (our home included) and sudden loud noises instantly raise my anxiety level. All I can think about is - the bins will be loud. I've seen people in videos wearing headphones or earbuds to listen to music but I think if I did that I'd be so zoned out it's not safe. It's good that you have learned to regulate and protect your peace. I'm usually a pretty laid back go with the flow person but some days whoooo boy! Watch out! On those days, I try to stay home. 😂
So I was freaking out just watching you navigate the toy aisle..been there..unbelievable! 🙄 okay so..there is a TH-cam reseller, Tyce Tyce Baby, who recently posted a very informative 12 minute back room interview with a Goodwill supervisor who walked him through the process of appraisals they use to glean out anything really valuable for their own ebay store. I’m sure some Gucci and L Vuitton slip thru the cracks, but they seem to have very thorough and scientific methods for authentication. Def an eye opener for me! Seems it was called “what GW does with the good stuff”. Happy hunting deary! 👍 “It’s all about the algorithms!”
@@ronaddis2526 I got a glimpse of that video but have not had a chance to watch it. Having worked in a thrift store where we took in or picked up donations, I can say doing that everyday will train a reseller better for sourcing than anything. At one point I had to clear out three packed 10x30 storage units along with our daily donations in about a month and the speed at recognizing valuable or useful things versus trash grew tremendously then. It’s one reason y’all will never see me running or fighting or being aggressive over inventory. I am just confident now I can always find things. Feels nice having that level of knowledge and experience.
What happened to the purses in the first store? You promised us purses! The toy aisle is always shite. As a wheelchair user I appreciate you picking up and moving the items. I just usually avoid it. Was not expecting the I choose violence. Think I might've snorted!
@@rebeccahartshorn7886 my mom just battled leukemia and came out of a bone marrow transplant. I take her some Sundays when she can go to 99 cent day so I am sure watching her getting around in a wheelchair has helped inspire me sometimes to clean up. I had to cut all the first store purses out. The music was crazy loud and sometimes I forget to talk to cover the music😂 But I promise, y’all missed nothing. They’ve barely stocked for two weeks. In the videos I post later this week we will learn why. Thankfully I think things are getting back to normal so hopefully they will be loaded all the fun shelves and aisles up again.
