Lego Ship Engine Based on the Titanic

This is my custom built Lego ship engine based on the Titanic. This type of engine is called a triple expansion steam engine. It functions just like the real thing. Even the rpm is accurate. It can be operated manually or with a motor. The rpm is approximately the same with or without the motor which is even better. I’ve studied these types of engines for a long time. I’ve studied the mechanism and structure of the Titanic’s engines for many weeks. It took me many weeks to figure out how to put this together. It all started off with a single piston. I eventually figured out how all of the moving parts work. This wasn’t the first time l thought about building something like this. I thought about this years ago after seeing James Cameron’s film. I never thought l would be able to build a fully functional steam engine. I’ve never built anything this good out of Legos. It’s rare for me to make something impressive out of Legos. I don’t usually use Legos these days. I’ve made things primarily out of cardboard, wood and other materials.
