I live in NY, but I've recently been following this story and I cannot believe that the level of racism that's been perpetrated against black male educators. My wife is an educator, so I'm very interested in this very disturbing situation.
They picked the wrong one. Those lazy, conniving, corrupt fools didn't know who he was. How could they know? They couldn't understand the levels of commitment from this man over 18 years.
This is what I said we dont need affirmative action in colleges bc it did not benefit us. We need a solid ground and truly equal learning institutions. We need these Principals who care and were making a difference.
Do you folks also believe that Karen Carpenter-Fitzpatrick's dismissal was ALSO unnecessary and unjustified? Where's the evidence that she failed to properly and effectively execute HER duties? I'm wondering why dismissals of Black men are deemed unjust but not dismissals of equally effective Black women?
I've sat here and researched for several hours and found a big discrepancy in firing of Karen. It just doesn't make sense. None of the information online justifies why she was fired and why she was not kept on the staff. In addition, their were more signatures to keep her as assistant principal than Mr. Muhammad. It looks like his petition is inflated with submissions. #sneakyboots
