Been damn near 20 years and people will never just enjoy both versions of the Band. We always have to have Jesse vs Howard. That's like trying to compare Art, you just can not. Billions of people alive and we were lucky to experience the both of these guys in our lifetime in one of the greatest bands ever.

Jesse has impressed me. I've seen him a couple of times since his return to the band, and he's really evolved as a vocalist - really nailing howard's stuff.
That being said - they're very different and they are both great.

Jesse don't do very well live ...and he can't hit those high vocals like Howard does..or the low growls like Howard does..but he's a good frontman...but Howard was a GREAT frontman. :)

Just watched the brazil gig with Jesse.jesse ain't a patch on Howard and to be fair the whole band looked done.
I think you can just as easily say Howard isn't spot on here just like Jesse wasn't in Brazil. It's one show out of hundreds. They're both great and have brought different persona's to an overall great band. Enough with the yammering and comparing. It's been 3 years and all of you are still beating that dead horse...
Fair point fella..I get it's been three years but back then I thought they would be headlining download festival by now.instead they've lost a lot of momentum.over in the uk anyway.tour venues are smaller etc.i think that's down to the line up change.
vhenry75 The lineup now is basically the original KSE lineup. minus tom who was on drums. Minus pete. After pete left, tom came in on drums and adam went to guitar. Tom was only there for a year. and justin has been playing drums ever since. Howard and Jesse are both fantastic vocalists. I've seen them both live, and they were great everytime, But they both have their off days. I personally prefer jesse over howard. But i in no way feel like the band is going down anytime soon. They just got started back up. A lot of time when you lose a member, especially a vocalist when you're not a household name there's some struggle getting back to where you were. But they are just as good live as ever now. Saw them recently. But maybe they enjoy playing smaller clubs. a lot of bands do that. And a lot of bands prefer side stages at festivals. (depending on the festival setup) But i don't think they were ever big enough to headline download or be close. and they're one of my favorite bands. No hate here at all, on you, or the band, or any members past and present. i like everything album they've ever put out. haha
Yeah I've like them from day one.as you could inguess prefer Howard ,but always thought Jesse was great. Also seen both singer with the band live and thought Howard was all round better vocalist.in a way it was lucky Howard fitting like he did and the fans taking to him so quickly ,when you look at other bands that replaced vocalists,iron maiden,priest,crue etc,their fans never got on with the new guy.jesse Is still cool,and part of me is glad he's back.his last album with them could be looked at as their breakthrough album.i think download would have been possible by now. A7X the other year ?. Download seems be be running out of new headliners.many bands being repeated over the years.i can't see why they wouldn't have headline second stage at a minimum.peace bro.

That bands success story is an impressive one. as vocalists are the hardest to replace obviously. as you pointed out with great examples. lol. And yeah dude. I honestly consider jesse/howard killswitch separate bands in a way. But i love all the shit they put out. The last album was fantastic. Jesse killed it. The whole band did. But at the same time. As Daylight Dies is one of my favorite albums ever. haha. But in a general sense, not even speaking from opinion, because i prefer jesse in a way, Howard is easily the better vocalist of the two overall. haha. No contest. That dude has so much power behind his voice. When he was having a good day live it was amazing to watch. And yeah. if they keep going the way they are now, and download goes the way its going, they definitely could headline. And id love to see them do that. haha. I was just stating that, at the time they were approaching being big enough to headline, is when howard started having troubles, he took a break, and was just going through shit for at least a year before he actually left. So he left right when they should have been hitting it big unfortunately. But dude had his reasons. so ya can't hate him for it. haha

There are certain camera angles that just shouldn’t have been shown with how dead this crowd was at times and for the most part. Kill switch destroys and certain angles seem like the crowd was completely dead.

To get everyone to understand, if I remember correctly, this was around the time that Adam had surgery, so he was out for quite a while. The guy filling in for him is Pat Lachman. Lachman used to be the vocalist for Damageplan, the band that Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell created after Pantera.
