In today’s video I’m going to take you thrifting into one of local thrift stores that just opened. I will show you some fun and interesting things I saw while thrifting as well as a small haul at the end of the video. I hope this video gives you some "Thrifting Inspiration”! :)

There are beautiful, unique and inexpensive second hand treasures just waiting for you. These items can be found at your local goodwill, Salvation Army and other thrift stores in your area. Thrifting can be a challenge but very rewarding and worth the hunt! Some of my favorite things to thrift for are home décor items, name brand clothing, vintage items and anything unique or handmade!

I grew up with a glass nut grinder , red painted metal top that had lost some of its paint, and clear glass. That's what my mother used until the 90s when I gave her an electric one.

My mom had a small collection of amber glass which I now have. Enough to set a small table. That old pipe rack brought back memories, too. My dad had one and seems my grandfather smoked pipes, also. Your hutch, btw, is lovely. Love the colors together. 🌿🌸

I remember my grandmother having a bottle with a grinding top she kept nuts in it. When you turn it over and turn the handle it grinds up little pieces of nuts on to whatever you're cooking. Seems like she used it on brownies. Maybe you can tell it made an impression, or maybe it was the brownies. Her's had a small cap that went over the top of it.
My grandma had a nut grinder like that too.

I am enjoying seeing your pink glass collection, I am blessed I have a cake platter and three beautiful serving dishes that belonged to my grandmother, I love how you have it in your white hutch.... it just stands out.i usually donate a lot to a thrift store, the proceeds help abused women, every once in awhile after I drop of my donations, I can’t help but go inside and have a look around, one day I found the most beautiful 2 piece pasta set of serving dishes, whenever I serve company my meatballs and pasta, I get so many compliments on them. I paid a few dollars for them... you never know when your going to find a gem... I enjoy your videos ❤️

*aaawww, thanks for remembering me as the one who suggested the clear table easels!* the round pink platter is beautiful, and it was great that you found the large easel just in time to display the platter right away. i love the pink and green combination. (i'm also the one who passed on my mother's old saying "pink and green shouldn't be seen." lol.) i wondered if the amber, yellow and orange-ish glassware would catch your eye. they were sure pretty pieces. the prices at that thrift store seem kinda high, but if you'd purchased all three of the amber, yellow and orange-ish glassware, you'd have been well on your way to another collection for your grandfather's hutch...one that would look great for fall. (i'm constantly trying to think if ways for *you* to spend *your* money, hehehe!) Hi to Hannah and to lil' Peanut! take care!!!
Hey Deb!! 😊💕 I'm so glad I found the clear easels. They look so much better. 👍👍👍 I tested out the platter on the easel while in the store, so that made it even better. I loved the amber glass pieces.. especially the hanging lamp. 💕😍 Yep this store can be pricey for some stuff..but they have the best all around selection. It's a huge store, I think it use to be a grocery store.
That 3 piece set was really pretty yeah girl add it to your collection they were cute.
That gold hanging lamp was a beautiful piece. I would have snatched that one up quick. They go for hundreds of dollars where I come from. It would be hanging in my home for sure.

I think the pink platter is a cake dish. It came with a high cover for the 2 layer cakes. I’ve only seen them in clear. The pink is stunning.

Hi Jessica. I realize I am clocking in late here but this video just popped up in my feed so I watched it today. Those pink glasses you were admiring are Noritake and the pattern is called Sweet Swirl. I believe they are discontinued now so $2.50 was a good price for them. I have the blue version of these - a set of ten each of the wine glasses and the larger water goblets. I got them as wedding gifts in 1990. Beautiful glasses.

You found some lovely peices Jessica. I loved the pipe holder, I would have used it for some art brushes . I've never seen anything like that for sale in a charity shop. It seemed to have a centre peice also which I would put charcoal or pastels inside. ❤💛💚

My favorite thing was the cubist cream and sugar with the lid and tray. I would have grabbed that in a heartbeat. I collect cream and sugars. As long as it isnt a repro. Repros are still nice but I prefer the ones with age.

When I saw that 3pc creamer set, all I could say was OMG, I started hyperventilating 😱😀😀, sone of the items were a little pricey, but that would have been one time I just would have hauled all that pink for my table scape
I agree, I also love to tablescape. Friends come to dinner just to see the dining room table!. never pay attention to the food. LOL.

I use to collect Precious Moments and had them displayed on a three tiered open shelf until I bumped my head on it and they all fell. All but one of them broke! Stopped collecting after that! lol
