My grandpa is a survivor of Breast Cancer. He was featured in an article about how awkward and almost shameful it is for him to go get a mammogram with his wife.
This is so hard to watch considering Shila and Niki just got laid off even though they do integral work... I'm going to miss them. Having less producers means less content which is not overall great for the viewers or creators. I hope all the lay-offs have ended.

The bra was not invented in 1914. Women have been binding and supporting their breasts for ages. The first known "bra" dates back to ancient Greece where women would wrap bands of fabric across their chests, tying or pinning them in the back. I only remember this because LadyLike did an episode about bras across the ages haha.
Okay but what about women who don't smoke, never had a baby, nor breastfed but still have saggy boobs? Breast size can also cause them to sag.

Bras have been around since ancient Greece, at least. Though the first breast implant was done in 1962, the first known augmentation was performed in 1895.
Deborah S that’s what I thought! I remember even in another video Ladylike was wearing bras from a long time ago and did some that were from Ancient Greece.

@Allison Mangum MB Actually you are mistaken. In 2012 a bra dating back to the middle ages was discovered in a Austrian Castle in Vienna. It was reported on Fox News. It may not have been called a bra but it was in fact shaped exactly like bras of today. The breast wraps you are referring to go back much, much further. They were even depicted in artwork from ancient Greece. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to learn they were used as far back as biblical times. As a large breasted woman I couldn't imagine trying to perform the amount of physical labor they endured without some sort of support. I will try to post the article and photo.

As a pregnant women the first question made me laugh, they for sure change. You go from having really cute rosey areoles to very very very dark. I’m not sure if they’ll go back to the original color because I’m still pregnant but it doesn’t matter to be honest
From what I remember with my sister's pregnancy, they don't completely return to that rosey color, but they get lighter again once you start to ween and your body stops producing milk
I'm pregnant too, a week from my due date and I will say they definitely have gotten darker to the point of, "Damn, are those really my nipples?" 😂
Once I stopped breastfeeding mine went from almost black and 4 times the normal size back to their original colour and dimensions, or at least a close approximation of it
I literally know nothing about my breast...other than that I have two (which is good) and that they are small and have been the same size since grade 8 and I'm in grade 11.... Lol

I'm pretty sure the darkness of your hair has nothing to do with whether you are likely to have nipple hair. It's a hormone problem. Coming from someone with hormone issues and PCOS, excess hair around nipples, neck, back, stomach etc is to do with levels of testosterone in the body, not how dark my hair is. Mine are relatively light, but definitely still prominent
I feel like you are right and people with darker hair maybe just notice nipple hair more because it's more obvious.

Actually, the oldest bra found was made in Shakespearean times. I believe it was just NAMED a bra in 1914, and that first model prototype was made of handkerchiefs.
Technically there were kind of bra-ish things in ancient Egypt too, but they were more like chest wraps that you tie in a specific way.

I also felt that way too, like when the corset was a popular fashion item for instance some of them would have a taller top to help esenuate the bosom... could items found like that throughout history be considered bras?
as soon as they asked the question I was like nope be more specific. If I gave my students that on a quiz and they contested their grade I would have to give them the points either way.

Men can lactate but it's only if they have a hormone imbalance.
Actually, men can lactate without hormone imbalance, and many do on purpose (for things like adoption, adding to a mother's supply, being non-binary parents, etc). It involves lactation consultants and hospital-grade breast pumps among other things to produce a flow. Others may lactate on accident as a result of over-stimulation, such as athletes not protecting nipples from rubbing, though in very small amounts.
All humans have breast tissue already, and it responds the same way :)

Two of these things were wrong in the video. The bra patented for commercial use since the late 1800s. And the most common cause of breast sagging, is just aging skin elasticity (so simply getting older).
I think for the sagging they meant the biggest contributor; like a catalyst since obviously it happens due to old age.

You're partly right. Even with gravity, many women manage to keep their breasts very perky. I think a lot of it has to do with genetics, and age. Smoking as well (as they said). All of the three: genetics, age, and smoking, influence skin elasticity which is what ultimately decides how your breasts will stand the test of gravity.
