I have very fine thin hair. As I age I notice more and more scalp. It's getting harder to make the top look fuller than it is and God forbid should it be a rainy and/or windy day. Few weeks ago I started wearing a topper for those days. However I love having hair that I've always wanted so I find myself wearing it more often. Toppers are limited so I am now interested in wigs. Thank u 4 the videos. They r very helpful. And ur personality is warming. I love that u seem to enjoy life, have fun, and truly want to help other women in their journey through wigs.

I have Simmer and I love her. I think it's the straighter look with a slighter wave that appeals to me. I also feel I can get away with it at 60 something...ha ha I love this on you Taz!!! So so adorable!!! Great review as always!

Great video Taz😊 and I really like the sscappucino, as I normally go for lighter blondes. I may try this shade next time. Your wig seems to have less bulky hair to the side than mine. Luck of the draw which one you get I guess. I have Simmer in shaded biscuit and pale golden honey. and I really love both shades. Pale golden honey has way too much hair one side, keeps flopping over my face, even with a trim, it’s not perfect. Shaded biscuit is lovely, more natural hair density on this wig. Not much permatease, which is good in my opinion. It has a full mono too but for me, parting looks better over the left side. A pity, as I’d like to have changed it more. Thanks for the styling tips and going outside in natural daylight. Really helps. Wish some other wig vloggers did this too x

Patty Liort Hi Patty! The only way I would wear a high pony is by securing a headband around the base of the wig cap..on the outside of the wig... the “going to the gym” look... most wigs would be difficult to obscure the wig cap when drawing the hair high on the head, even handtied Wigs. If you’re patient and creative, you may be able to pull it off with careful placement of the hair.. best to work with the hair while it’s on a head form..then place it on your head after you set the style. I haven’t tried any, but there are some 3/4 wigs and ponytails that may work in combination with your wig to achieve the look💛
Taz that is a beautiful wig. They always look so natural on you. I just sent for a estetica ocean. I know you have the ocean and I loved her on you so I went ahead and bought her. Still waiting on her since Christmas. I originally ordered Aspen but they didn’t have her in the light blonde rooted shade, so I ordered ocean instead. I live in Australia so the waiting is much longer.

I love that color, it's so realistic and pretty. I love Max Impact too and am going to consider getting it. Thank goodness you do these reviews because the way they style them on Raquel Welch looks so "done" and artificial, dated even. I would never have thought of either of these, if I were to base them on those mfr's pictures. (I envy you that snow, btw). xo

Thanks for the comments! Gabor, Henry Margu, Belle Tress and Estetica fit similar to Raquel Welch, but keep in mind each piece may vary a bit. SS Capp is similar to both 12FS8 by Jon Renau and Brown Sugar Sweet Cream by Belle Tress. XOXO
Hi taz ♥️ this was my favorite wig EVER. I bought it in the summer when it came out in shaded biscuit my fave color. It lasted about 9 days and that was it. I washed it. The end. A matted ratty mess. I used HD spray. I tried washing it in fabric softener. I had no idea HD fiber wigs were so different. I don’t have a wig steamer nor did I plan on the extra maintenance of a wig. Or having to straighten it. So last weekend I took the frizzy matted mess and straightened it and it did come out ok but there goes all the nice curl. So depressing! This wig was my dream wig! If you could offer any help as to how to care for an HD wig I would be so grateful. I’ve probably watched every video you have as well as Kim and Patti and Mimo. I think maybe it’s best I stick with non HD so I always get the curls and less maintenance. I’m still wearing mila and arrow. Waiting on my Julianne ♥️♥️♥️ she ships on the 29th. But I will say simmer by far was a beauty and I loved the face contouring I got so many compliments!!!!
Stephanie Joyce Sorry to hear of your experience with the HD fiber! It sounds like you did everything right..If you suspect a defect, I encourage you to share this with the retailer. In my experience, HD fibers tends to be some of the softest and most realistic fiber...the downside is that it’s more prone to static damage, flyaways and tangles.. it simply doesn’t last as long as regular synthetic. I’ll consider a future video on HD fiber care 💛💛💛
TAZSWIGCLOSET sounds good thank you! It was the constant combing how I ruined it and then once you straighten it obviously no more curl so I tried to curl it and it won’t curl. I wish it was non HD to last longer and keep those curls.

Linda Moser hi Linda I am fairly new to wearing wigs since July 2018. I got the simmer wig I believe in the fall I apologize because I said in the summer but it came out in the fall. It is very luxurious compared to other wigs. My first HD wig. But I loved it so much I didn’t want to change it or the curl pattern can’t tell you how well it truly frames your face is just the best ever. Well after a couple weeks I washed it in Jon Renau shampoo sprayed HD spray on her combed her then that was it. Seemed very matted after and tangled. I kept wearing it though. Got more matted felt like I had to comb it to death every night. That is how I ruined it. Made the fibers turn into a mess. I looked for HD care instructions and Patti from pattis pearls had a video. She washed her wig in Jon Renau shampoo. Rinsed it thoroughly in cold water. Rolled gently into a towel. Then sprayed the Jon Renau condition spray all over and shook it out (do this in your shower so it doesn’t spray all over) so the product got on the fibers. Wait until dry then gently comb it. I have used my own wide tooth comb but maybe Jon Renau is better. The trick I believe is to “baby” your HD wig. Very gently comb with fingers and use HD spray and wash correctly. That is what I did wrong. Seems the more videos I watch the more I learn these wigs don’t last long. I am wearing Mila and she is not HD. She washes perfect bouncy curls looks fantastic no issues. I’m afraid to go HD again I had no idea the care difference just from being new to wigs and care. I have Julianne coming. I love the cooler colors and unfortunately Raquel Welch shades biscuit is only in HD. Jon Renau you can get Palm Springs blonde which is what is coming. This wig in my photo is 12FS8 I think too golden and warm on me. I love Taz just love her videos and explanations. I did watch her video how to wash the wig very helpful but HD just requires more care. I love the mid length wavy wigs with not so much poofy permatease. I don’t mind a little but the scarlet wig had a ton. Hope this helps because this really honestly is a gorgeous wig and if you care for it ever so gently I think you could get it to last longer.

Hi Taz, would it be safe to say that of the 3 RW wigs “editor’s pick” , “Simmer”, and “Maximum Impact” that they are all rather similar except their lengths? Editor’s being the shortest, “simmer” middle length, and “max impact” the longest? I’m wondering if that, perhaps, was the manufacture’s intent.

Sure! A straight across bang can be worked into any style as long as you don't mind it covering the lace front.. if there is a stubborn contour or cowlick at the front, it may cause issues with the bang laying flat. You should consult a stylist if you have a piece you want to add a bang.. they can determine best how it might look:-) XOXO
In non heat friendly, I compare to Golden Wheat, but in heat friendly I would have to choose SS Cappuccino as the Shaded Wheat in RW heat friendly line has red tones in it and is not comparable. XOXO

Somebody please help!! I bought this wig last wk and tomorrow is my birthday and I wanted to curl a few pieces and it will not hold a curl, it just straightens it!!
Hey there!! Happy Birthday! When the curl will not take, there can be several reasons for this, but I find the most likely culprit is being wound too tightly on the curling iron or wand. Try loosening up the grip and as you release the curl, hold it up in your hand for 20 seconds so the weight is off of it as it cools:-) Have a great day! XOXO
TAZSWIGCLOSET I have a few more questions. Is it easier to curl this wig with a flat iron, wand, or curling iron? Also do they have this wig in a similar style but straight? Because I would rather buy it straight as well rather than flat iron the entire thing and I can just switch them out.

Hi Taz! I love your videos. Just bought my first wig based off of all the videos. I got Simmer and love her! Can you recommend a Raquel Welch style that is similar to Simmer except straight? I'd like a 2nd one so I don't have to straighten and curl. Also, what other brands do you recommend that fit like Raquel Welch? And what color in the other brand would be a match to the Shaded Cappuccino and the Shaded Iced Cappucicno? Thanks so much! You're an amazing help to us all 🙂
Thanks for the comments! Gabor, Henry Margu, Belle Tress and Estetica fit similar to Raquel Welch, but keep in mind each piece may vary a bit. SS Capp is similar to both 12FS8 by Jon Renau and Brown Sugar Sweet Cream by Belle Tress. XOXO

Hi taz ♥️ this was my favorite wig EVER. I bought it in the summer when it came out in shaded biscuit my fave color. It lasted about 9 days and that was it. I washed it. The end. A matted ratty mess. I used HD spray. I tried washing it in fabric softener. I had no idea HD fiber wigs were so different. I don’t have a wig steamer nor did I plan on the extra maintenance of a wig. Or having to straighten it. So last weekend I took the frizzy matted mess and straightened it and it did come out ok but there goes all the nice curl. So depressing! This wig was my dream wig! If you could offer any help as to how to care for an HD wig I would be so grateful. I’ve probably watched every video you have as well as Kim and Patti and Mimo. I think maybe it’s best I stick with non HD so I always get the curls and less maintenance. I’m still wearing mila and arrow. Waiting on my Julianne ♥️♥️♥️ she ships on the 29th. But I will say simmer by far was a beauty and I loved the face contouring I got so many compliments!!!!
Stephanie Joyce Sorry to hear of your experience with the HD fiber! It sounds like you did everything right..If you suspect a defect, I encourage you to share this with the retailer. In my experience, HD fibers tends to be some of the softest and most realistic fiber...the downside is that it’s more prone to static damage, flyaways and tangles.. it simply doesn’t last as long as regular synthetic. I’ll consider a future video on HD fiber care 💛💛💛
TAZSWIGCLOSET sounds good thank you! It was the constant combing how I ruined it and then once you straighten it obviously no more curl so I tried to curl it and it won’t curl. I wish it was non HD to last longer and keep those curls.

Linda Moser hi Linda I am fairly new to wearing wigs since July 2018. I got the simmer wig I believe in the fall I apologize because I said in the summer but it came out in the fall. It is very luxurious compared to other wigs. My first HD wig. But I loved it so much I didn’t want to change it or the curl pattern can’t tell you how well it truly frames your face is just the best ever. Well after a couple weeks I washed it in Jon Renau shampoo sprayed HD spray on her combed her then that was it. Seemed very matted after and tangled. I kept wearing it though. Got more matted felt like I had to comb it to death every night. That is how I ruined it. Made the fibers turn into a mess. I looked for HD care instructions and Patti from pattis pearls had a video. She washed her wig in Jon Renau shampoo. Rinsed it thoroughly in cold water. Rolled gently into a towel. Then sprayed the Jon Renau condition spray all over and shook it out (do this in your shower so it doesn’t spray all over) so the product got on the fibers. Wait until dry then gently comb it. I have used my own wide tooth comb but maybe Jon Renau is better. The trick I believe is to “baby” your HD wig. Very gently comb with fingers and use HD spray and wash correctly. That is what I did wrong. Seems the more videos I watch the more I learn these wigs don’t last long. I am wearing Mila and she is not HD. She washes perfect bouncy curls looks fantastic no issues. I’m afraid to go HD again I had no idea the care difference just from being new to wigs and care. I have Julianne coming. I love the cooler colors and unfortunately Raquel Welch shades biscuit is only in HD. Jon Renau you can get Palm Springs blonde which is what is coming. This wig in my photo is 12FS8 I think too golden and warm on me. I love Taz just love her videos and explanations. I did watch her video how to wash the wig very helpful but HD just requires more care. I love the mid length wavy wigs with not so much poofy permatease. I don’t mind a little but the scarlet wig had a ton. Hope this helps because this really honestly is a gorgeous wig and if you care for it ever so gently I think you could get it to last longer.

Hi Taz, would it be safe to say that of the 3 RW wigs “editor’s pick” , “Simmer”, and “Maximum Impact” that they are all rather similar except their lengths? Editor’s being the shortest, “simmer” middle length, and “max impact” the longest? I’m wondering if that, perhaps, was the manufacture’s intent.
They are similar in that they are all wavy styles. The curl patterns are slighty different on each:-) XOXO

Sure! A straight across bang can be worked into any style as long as you don't mind it covering the lace front.. if there is a stubborn contour or cowlick at the front, it may cause issues with the bang laying flat. You should consult a stylist if you have a piece you want to add a bang.. they can determine best how it might look:-) XOXO

What color in Raquel Welch is comparable to JR Shaded Praline?
In non heat friendly, I compare to Golden Wheat, but in heat friendly I would have to choose SS Cappuccino as the Shaded Wheat in RW heat friendly line has red tones in it and is not comparable. XOXO

Hi there! With good care and wearing every day for 8 hours.. probably 3-4 weeks is my best guess. My best friend is a banking manager, she wears a wig 10 hours a day, 6 days a week and this is how much time she gets out of her heat friendly midlength styles.. Best, TAZ

Somebody please help!! I bought this wig last wk and tomorrow is my birthday and I wanted to curl a few pieces and it will not hold a curl, it just straightens it!!
Hey there!! Happy Birthday! When the curl will not take, there can be several reasons for this, but I find the most likely culprit is being wound too tightly on the curling iron or wand. Try loosening up the grip and as you release the curl, hold it up in your hand for 20 seconds so the weight is off of it as it cools:-) Have a great day! XOXO
