- This video shows how I removed a dent in the leadpipe from a Cerveny CC Tuba. I used a dent cable and dent balls from Ferree's Tools. Please do not try this at home if you are not comfortable doing this yourself.

A little lube on the dent ball helps. This is exactly the same technique I use to repair dented or pinched hard lines on aircraft! Also have a bladder that is inserted and then pumped up with oil pressure to push on a pipe that is gently heated to ease the metal. Very pleasing results possible with very low pushing and pulling forces.
Excellent idea. Do you try to achieve cosmetic perfection or just make the tubing usable again? I think the brass here could have been burnished to a higher standard but I'm no expert.
