Maybe it is an early prototype and tested on the market in the 80s. But they are very rare model.
This the original with a 28 pin DIP chip instead of the other newer version with the 30 pin SDIP chip? The newer version uses mostly SMD circuitry instead of through-hole parts.

I see that this is the older version with the 28 pin DIP chip. I believe it would sell for a good price if had its original carrying case and if the battery cover stayed in place.
Many collectors want one to work properly. The carrying case can be purchased separately.

Old is often better; the Sony ICF-2010 is from the 1980s and might be the best portable shortwave radio ever made.
I haven't tested this model yet.
