At long last! The Final Round is here! Who will be the winner of this final epic battle?
Wow guys! It’s been a long journey with this project and I did not think it will carry this far! You may have seen a lot of Ryu vs Akuma projects but nothing like this.
This project pretty much wrote and directed itself. Sprites always have a story to tell, they just need someone to tell it for them. So ladies and gents I present to you Ryu vs Akuma The Final Round!
Note: Do not read other reviews without seeing movie first if you don't want spoilers!
I have no control of people giving away ending.

Ken, Chun-Li and Sakura has fallen! Akuma-Oni's power is too much for them to handle!
But whats this! Ryu is back up on his feet and it seems like the Dark Hado has taken his power to another level.
Can Ryu use this dark power to finally defeat Akuma-Oni?

Finally, a match where Akuma actually uses the powered Hadou-ken... It's very obvious that in all other uploaded videos, no one bothers to use it!

Okay, I see how popular this is becoming and I owe you guys a little treat of what’s to come. But first let me just explain the overall concept I had in mind for this project once and for all. I see that some vote for Ryu to win and some vote for Akuma/Oni to win.
Yes in most movies the main hero should win over evil. A lot of times this is true.
But if you take the whole concept of Street Fighter history between Ryu and Akuma I honestly must say Akuma is the over all winner here and let me explain why I feel this way about this project.
1. According to Street Fighter history Akuma and Gouken trained under a Master by the name of Goutetsu. This was way before Ryu was even born. During that time Akuma had no knowledge of the Dark Hadou until later in the series. Even the live action Street Fighter Assassin's Fist broke it down about Akuma’s history.
2. Now that Akuma has trained, mastered and became the Dark Hadou himself. Goutetsu seen the evil within Akuma and disclaim Akuma as one of his students and band him from the dojo. Filled with rage and wanted to become the best martial artist, Akuma has challenge Goutetsu with his newly found power and killed him in the process. (The student surpasses the Master.)
3. Present day! Ryu and Ken had been training under Gouken for many years. (Stay with me now) During that time Akuma continued his path mastering the Dark Hadou ever since, by the time Ryu even consider reaching Akuma’s level, Akuma was way to powerful for any Street Fighter opponent. I honestly think Akuma was the real champion of Street Fighter during those times even when new characters was being introduce into the tournament.
4. Now that Ryu got a glimpse of the Dark Hadou, I feel that Ryu really only had 5 to 10 percent chance of beating Akuma. And that’s being generous. But in a way I feel that Ryu still was no match for Akuma even with the power of the Dark Hadou. Why? Ask yourself. How is it that for someone that barely scratch the surface of mastering the Dark Hadou be able to defeat someone that’s been training under it most of their lives? That’s like saying anyone can go into a martial arts school with no training and beat the instructor with a few weeks!
5. But in this case of the story here, Akuma could have really beaten Ryu from the jump. But overall Akuma was really testing Ryu’s new power of the Dark Hadou.
Now that Ryu beaten Akuma for the first time, Akuma just wanted to show Ryu that he is many years late of even considering mastering the Dark Hadou. He pretty much was just saying…hey Ryu you can have the first stage of the Dark Hadou. I pretty much master that stage long before you was born boy, let me show you where I’m at now. (Boom) Akuma-Oni is now born.
6. Now that Akuma has taken the Dark Hadou to a whole new platform, Ryu’s chances of beating him drop down to zero. Even after getting back up with a little bit more of the Dark Hadou power within him, Ryu chances increase to 5 percent at Akuma-Oni current state…(Coughs…hint…hint) but as you can see no prevail.
And that pretty much sums it up folks, and this is where I was aiming for with this animation, and if you look at the big picture of Street Fighter history you can see that Ryu really had no chance at all of beating Akuma. As for Sakura having the Dark Hadou she was just an innocent spirit in rage. Even so she had the power it wasn’t strong enough to overcome her consciousness and was still able to remain focus of her actions. Please don’t get me wrong I do favor for the heroes to win but I like to give you guys something outside the box.
Now for a special treat. I’m glad you guys are still enjoying this series and I’m shocked by the amount of views here. Thank you guys so much! So for popular demand I feel that I owe you guys a little something.
Since the beginning of this epic adventure, this fight was not meant for Ryu to win! That’s right! I said it! XD It was never intended for Ryu to defeat Akuma-Oni but Gouken’s! Yes folks! I feel it is Gouken’s who is to defeat Akuma-Oni if possible.
And I do plan to make that fight happen sometime next year of 2016.
Yes you read correctly! Akuma-Oni and Gouken may have a chance in an all out epic brawl. I will dive back into street fighter sprite one last time. ;) But I still have other projects I'm currently working on so it'll be some time before this happen.
So that’s pretty much it loyal fans. I hope this sums it up on the vision I had for this series. If I miss anything I apologize for it.

You are right about everything and it's easy to notice you are a true fan of the lore. Akuma is leagues ahead of Ryu and any other fighter save for maybe Oro, Gouken or Gill. Now Gouken not only is older but he also has achieved the Mu no Ken, something Ryu will need to train for decades to achieve if he ever does. I can easily see those two evenly matched and you can have Oni win for the dark and non generic ending or Gouken win for the "good wins over evil" ending.
We should also note that Ryu might train under Oro and master senjutsu and maybe even Mu no Ken some day.

MysticSkillz I've heard that akuma said if Cody took off his handcuffs and actually tried then he will be a equal match for him.
Nice Animation, Although you should know that at some point even Akuma agreed that Hadou within Ryu is stronger than himself, and at multiple time Ryu's Hadou has proven it.

when hadou awakened at last in ryu's soul,he almost turned an akuma just for beating akuma in oni form.even with this giant power inside ryu,oni akuma would just win even with the difficulty he had to defeat ryu and fight gouken one more time.who could won? gouken and evil ryu(almost akuma) or oni akuma?
I'd say the full powered good Ryu will obliterate Omni akuma

There is a correction to be made in the credits. goukens sprite sheet was orginally akuma based but all were crafted by me and my partner at the time. capcom didnt make goukens sprites. No big deal just wanted to point that out since capcom wanted to not use my gouken sprites out of fear i would sue or something.
Oh my bad man! I wanted to play it safe and said it was Capcoms sprite, it is their character but if you guys created him then very well done sir!

i spoke to capcom directly (seth killian at the time) at comic con about using my gouken. its a labor issue and they played it safe. didnt want me to sue if things went bad.

i wouldnt have done that. I would have even signed a contract not to do such a thing. capcom can be dumb with the people running it into the ground now.

Ryu is and will always be the one who kicks Akuma's ass! Not with the the satsui no hado but by overcoming it and becoming stronger then anyone!
See and that's what people would think, but what I see is that Akuma was strong from the jump, Ryu may be stronger if he was to go into the light instead of being over come by the Dark Hadou. Akuma has mastered the Dark Hadou and has taken it to a newer level. In this case, Ryu did had the Dark Hadou within him but he didn't really tap into it until Akuma's presents and his first lost with him. Even so in the Final Round Ryu has awaken again, which you can say he may have taken the Dark Hadou to the next level but not quite as far Akuma did.So Akuma...sorry... Oni-Akuma still had the upper hand. And this is how I vision this project.
MysticSkillz you should watch streetfighter assassin's fist to understand the dark hadou. Akuma never surpassed the dark hadou to a next level. He managed it to obtain and control it by training. Evil Ryu always win of Akuma cause of his blind fury.
$ Cash $ Money $ Hero $ I've seen that series, all they told was the beginning of Akuma history. Akuma been mastering the Dark Hadou for years before Ryu was even born. Ryu is new to this power and honestly I think he has no chance of winning over Akuma, this is what I'm telling in this series. If Akuma didn't reach the next level then explain Oni!
Ryu Lord Yeah I can go with the fact that Oni is a what if character only in the SF game series, but once they add him to the animated series Ryu stands no chance at all.

It's a great animation, which has clearly had much effort put into it, but Evil Ryu's sprites seemed wierd, and Oni's hair made him look like someone totally different

People listen closely. The first evil ryu was like base Akuma. The sf4 evil ryu is like shin Akuma. He still can't beat Oni. And Oni is canon he made 3 appearances in different franchises.

even dark sakura were more than a challenge then evil ryu were to oni akuma on his first form,if dark sakura did wake up on the battle,she could help semi-akuma ryu beat up and kill akuma once and for all.but,now that akuma,on oni form,had still the upper hand,he could even lost to ryu.totally,beating oni akuma is an 50% chance. but it is 150% of chance to losing and being slain by oni akuma with his giant-powered hadoukens,shoryukens,tatsumakis on the gou-oni type,he does much more damage from what ryu could do if he could turn on akuma and put the power of nothingness.no one had think of that?

I wanna say this is good... But I think CrazyEight901 has ruined me for other sprite animators. Very few can hold a candle to his Dark Sonic vs Shadow video.
If you're looking for something like that, than Mystic's garbage animations are not for you. You could check out Akuma vs Chameleon though, it's as good (if better) than Dark sonic vs shadow.
