Thanks! This was my first ProTracker video, I don't know if I changed the colors in ProTracker before screen capping but when I got into the video editing software, I figured I'd just cycle through every color instead of trying to pick just one.
@Paula Haunt great channel man. I've just started a tracker musicians centric channel but I'm forced to use MilkyTracker as it outputs through HDMI. How are you capturing Protracker with such a clean signal. I've tried a lot of HDMI converters & they're all a waste of money. I would really love to know how you're capturing Protracker from your Amiga with your capture card.
Thanks for listening! I'm using the ProTracker clone for Windows, so I just use screen cap software to record the songs as they play back. I save the audio separately from the video and normalize it in my DAW, then I line it up in my video editing software. So, my recommendation is to use Windows instead of the Amiga, haha! If you're familiar with the Amiga musician XSM, he captures all his stuff off of real hardware and it sounds great, you might ask on one of his videos. @@paulahaunt Nice one, thanks for the help. I'm using MilkyTacker and I find it's not 100% accurate on Mod playback and also not as aesthetically pleasing as any version of Protracker. I'll just have to plough on through with that. Not sure if that's why the views are not higher on my channel by using that tracker or maybe I need to put different tags. I'll work it out and thanks for the help. AceMan said the same thing as you and to emulate or use the clone. Oh well 👍👍👍😞
@@JOEBLOGGS1971 Yeah, MilkyTracker's GUI colors can be altered a little bit but not much, it still kind of looks dull. You could always try messing with the video in post-processing. I guess the important thing is how it sounds, but if it isn't accurate for MOD playback, that's not cool either. There's no real reason to not use the ProTracker clone. Off1k did a comparison video of real Amiga sound and the clone: th-cam.com/video/liBt73NSZJg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lZBruDFL5hfRfn1Z I'd say the two are basically indistinguishable.
@@paulahaunt Hello again Paula. Just wanted to say thanks for pointing me in the right direction with using PT 2.3D clone on PC & capturing the footage. Syncing the audio is more work but definitely worth it. It just looks so much nicer aesthetically. Also decided to upload XM Mods too to space it all out a bit instead of concentrating on one thing. The scene community have been great with the help. Cheers again & keep the Amiga alive.👍🔥
