I connected Time Capsule to a Uverse modem and for some reason my Mac Mini would not pick up a connection. I hadn't tried to connect to it from my iPhone, but I'll give it a try now after watching your video. If not, it could be something else where the modem is not wanting to recognize the Time Capsule. I hope this comes in handy. Thanks!
Thanks for the info Peyton. I have Time capsule V2 (The smaller one) and used it for wireless router around the house. I changed computer and just can't get rid of "No internet connection" any chance you do a video with suggested IP/ethernet/general settings to make it connect to internet shared from a Mac? I have tried so many different combinations but can't get it to work? Thanks if you can.
I freaking loved this video. I'm all new to the Mac. So can I buy one of these and use it as my main router? I hear that this Time Capsule is the Best Router out there? Can you PLEASE make a video showing how to set it up to a Mac?
Hi there, i'm getting one of these tomorrow, my question is, does this need to be always plugged into the ethernet connection on my modem? As Apple don't even supply an ethernet cable it was news to me that i had to plug it in via ethernet at all? sorry for being so ignorant!!
Xbox One cannot back up to a Time Capsule. The Time Capsule is a router itself, so all you need to do is connect it to your modem. I suppose you could use a Time Capsule as just a backup drive (not as a router), but you would be wasting your money.
+Nick Hahn Yes; that is what I do. Make sure you have your modem/router set to bridge mode. If you're unable to modify the settings, your internet service provider should be able to do it.
+John Tratnyek The modem is the box that plugs into your wall. The modem will connect to your internet service provider and get you connected to the internet. The router will connect to your modem, take the internet connection, and broadcast it as Wi-Fi so you can connect to the internet wirelessly.
Hi, Im trying to restore my iTunes from my phone to a new iMac computer. Does this device allow me to do this? My old comp died so I can't back anything up. Its all on my phone.
This isn't the device you'd want to use. What you might want is a program called PhoneView. This program will allow you to plug your phone into your computer, and import all your music from your phone to your computer. I made a video on this program. Search "PhoneView Review"
It's incredible how you could come up with such a simple way to get this running, while the Apple staff put together à 45 page book that does no good. I hear that one of the marks of true genius is the capability to vulgarise complex stuff. You must be a genius, and Apple must have hired a whole lot of people from Microsoft... Thanx a million.

Thanks. Is it good for p4? I mean to increase net speed and make it more stable?? Because my modem has sometimes stop problems,
strange enough for me 'cause I don't see any SETUP NEW AIRPORT, it doesn't come up on my wi-fi settings and I'm using an iPhone SE2-2020

+mullagh Yes, you will need it connected to your modem at all times via ethernet.
I have a wifi booster in the house, does the capsule work well with them or will it slow everything down?

I don't have an iPhone, how do I set this up?
will an xbox one wirelessly save data (i.e.. Games and Movies) to the time capsule and is it mandatory for router to time capsule connection?

An Apple Express is not a modem. Your internet service provider should provide you with a modem.
The Time Capsule works just fine for gaming.
You can plug the Time Capsule into the modem, and you should be able to get a WiFi signal from any room in your house.
I have a 2in1 modem router, will i be able to use it as just a modem and the time capsule as the router?
+Nick Hahn Yes; that is what I do. Make sure you have your modem/router set to bridge mode. If you're unable to modify the settings, your internet service provider should be able to do it.
+Peyton really? Everyone told me that i had to get a new modem. I feel so lied too. Thanks for the info!
can someone explain to me what a motem is and what a router is and if this actaully makes wifi for my house also can i store files on it?

+Peyton thank you
Do i able to backup all my iPhone to Airport device?
No, you can only backup from a computer.
What happens if we go far away will it be connected yes or no?
No
Hi there , can i use time capsule 500 gb as flash memory ? thx

I see, well i already bought this device to backup files and photos just wondering if it can help me get my music also thanks
This device won't let you take music from your phone and put it on your iMac.
+Peyton ok I guess I need to pay to get my music back lol thanks for your help
Give PhoneView a try! I think there's a free trial, and it's super easy to use. Good luck!

Can you use it with a modem/router ?
Yes,
so well explained thank you
yo fixed me Internet thx brother
Confusing. Should I take the cable from the modem and connect to the time machine instead of the computer, or add a new cable.
+Yvonne Anderson You can use the cable that’s connected to your computer if your computer has Wi-Fi capabilities, otherwise you can use a new cable.
can i use it for ps4
+Twan Nijssen If you're referring to it's hard drive use, then no.
Oke thx
nice
scarry to show your self Peyton ?? ,, i hear only your low voice an see your claws
We don't need a rundown of the damn capsule. I bought the thing, just set it up already, Jesus
Can this be used to increase storage of my iPad?
Nope.
